Parkside III

My son is in the baby room at Parkside Preschool 3 and I absolutely love the teachers (Scarlett & Elizabeth). They are so respectful, keep me updated, and my son loves them. The front desk receptionist, Anna, is always so kind and helpful, and the director is always available to answer questions and make sure parents feel supported. I know the older reviews might make you hesitant, but I decided to try it for myself—and I’m so glad I did. We truly love it here!

At first you get excited because they changed the director, but it seems that now the problem is with the caregivers. A caregiver with red hair has little patience, and another brunette caregiver who is with the 2 year old children, she yells at the children... and everyone is silent, scared, then some children interact more each other. The caregiver yelled at my son and she didn't realize that I was nearby and heard her. I had to remove him. I know that many families do not have a choice, but let's avoid our children having psychological trauma... yelling is psychological violence. The people who care are supposed to have studied courses on child care, it is unfortunate that they do not know how to respect their oldest and most innocent clients, the children. I do not recommend this place unless there is a change of staff.

My son has attended this school from 18 months old until 5 years old. I’m African American and my child was not treated any differently than the other kids. My son learned a lot here and still remembers his teachers that he had and most importantly the director Ms.Leslie. I know as parents is it’s scary to leave your child in someone else care, please trust that Ms.Leslie will make sure that they are and if you have any suggestions or concerns voice them she’s very open

Parkside Preschool 3 is a wonderful place for infants and toddlers. During my tour, each teacher showed a very caring nature towards each child in their classroom. The Director, Ms. Leslie, gave me peace of mind that every child is in safe hands. I would highly recommend this childcare center because not only are they inclusive of all heritages, they have wonderful enrichment daily activities for the children to interact with.

All of the reviews are from 4 years ago for a reason. I went here to inquire about child care for my niece and honestly I feel like African American children aren’t welcomed here. As I was getting a tour I couldn’t help but notice the way they interacted with children of color was VERY different. They were very compassionate to the Hispanic children but dealt with the African American like they were adults. It’s almost as if they expect them to take care of themselves. I don’t recommend. They act like they care but the micro aggression was enough for me to not want my niece there.
