What Parents Say
This is not a daycare facility but a religious church in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Reviews are primarily about church services, architecture, and events rather than childcare services. The facility receives praise for its beautiful architecture, choir, and worship experiences, though one professional videographer reported significant restrictions on filming weddings.
Memorial service.... My first ever review of a Church that I'm not a member of. Father Drew, Mother Maureen, Joseph, the Choir and all the countless other staff and volunteers that helped us create and deliver a magnificent memorial service for our beloved brother . You are all in my heart forever 💖
I remember being baptized in this joint, very uncomfortable. They did the full dip, a few times, it was kinda cringe, not very epic. But still more entertaining than most of my church experiences, and also they support gay people (which is good) mmm.... 4 stars.
Reviewing as a professional photographer/ videographer who has shot here, this place is a nightmare for us. I tried talking with these people respectfully and professionally to try to solve the below issues and assure them that I would not damage their property or disrupt the ceremony in any way. But they, unlike the hundreds of other churches in the area that I've shot at for over 10+ years, are the most stubborn I have ever dealt with, and did not want to compromise or hear me out even, in any way. 1st: They do not not allow us to shoot in the chapel at all except for in the balcony, which means you can't get a front shot of the bride coming down the aisle at all, and many other angles/ shots. 2nd: They would not allow us in the chapel at all once guests for the ceremony started showing up, meaning we could only get limited shots of guests arriving. 3rd: Although they did tell me I could shoot from the hallway behind the chapel for the ceremony, I felt like these people were messing with me because they immediately shut the door on me right after the bride walked in and said "We meant you could shoot through the stained glass of the closed door." 4th: And probably the worst. They would not allow me to mic anything, the groom, the officiant, a podium, anything. They told me that they would record audio and I would have to get a hold of them the following week to have it mailed. I tried to guarantee them that my audio equipment wouldn't interfere with theirs or the ceremony at all, but again they wouldn't budge. As a result, the audio they recorded was horrible, You cannot hear the bride and groom's vows at all. My microphones from 200 feet away in the balcony sound better than theirs. This is the most important moment of the most important day of someone's life that will now never be heard again. Again, I am reviewing as a photographer/ videographer who has had bad experiences shooting weddings here. Probably the most difficult I've had to work with. Bottom line is, if you are planning a wedding here, and you care about your ceremony photos/ videos at all, I would look elsewhere.
Great stone architecture, wonderful worship space. Excellent choir and organist. Anglican-chic
I was there for a memorial. The service was very nice. The church is absolutely beautiful.
