They help a lot of people in a lot of way, but definitely don't expect it to happen fast. Applied for propane assistance back in October and was told yes but kind of just pushed down the road, here it is January 18th and we have no propane on the coldest night of the year so far because I allowed myself to assume by "Yes" it meant soon and didn't. Now I can't find a weekend company to deliver us warmth, have no money put back due to my banking on their word, and am just going to have to sit her in less than 0⁰ wind-chill. They help a lot of people in a lot of ways but they certainly helped talk me down into a cold, hard place instead of telling me to go figure it out myself.
Very helpful and nice staff with concerns for assistance with your utilities and helping to try and keep your bills down. Although I was on a waiting list for almost 2 years, I finally received their weatherization team who did a magnificent job helping to insulate my home, and saw that I was eligible for a new, free, energy efficient furnace installed. They insulated many different areas of the home which really made a huge difference in the winter. I am eternally grateful to Ozark Action Inc, for everything they've done. However, I have plans to move to Springfield and re-apply with the affiliate organization located there. I am selling my current property and home. It's ready for the next family.
I accompanied a friend amidst confusion over her gas bill. We were treated with kindness and respect, told our options and directed to further entities to contact. Thank you so much Ozark Action.
Went for fingerprinting. I was a walk-in and waited less than 30 minutes. I think they might have forgotten I was waiting, but a quick chat with the receptionist and I was called back in a minute. Very friendly workers. Plenty of parking. Easy to find.
These people are a Godsend. Everyone l dealt with was very helpful, very friendly. If employees of other companies, e.g City of West Plains, would perform like these ladies it would be a much better world. I owe a ty to all who helped, but especially Heather
