Oxford Academy At Lost Mountain

We absolutely love Oxford Academy Preschool! Our daughter is in Ms. Makia’s class, and she has flourished under her care. Ms. Makia is an exceptional teacher who genuinely loves what she does – our daughter looks forward to school every single day and comes home excited to share what she’s learned. The staff at Oxford Academy creates such a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and grow. The school is always well-maintained and beautifully decorated, making it clear how much care and thought goes into creating a positive learning atmosphere. We feel so fortunate to have found Oxford Academy Preschool and couldn’t recommend it more highly to other families. My daughter has been in the GA Pre-k class here since last Fall. Ms. Makia is her teacher, and we have ADORED our experience. My 5-year-old has learned SO MUCH that she continuously surprises me. A few examples... She can count to 20 in Spanish and just this morning, was telling me about air pollution. I asked her where she learned about it (her information was very detailed LOL) and she said... "Oh, just school". She is struggling with her letters, and Ms. Makia continues to support her with kind words and encouragement. She also has very high expectations of the kids and I really love that. Her communication is excellent and I love that we get to touch base every morning during car line. I always feel informed and up to date! Their class also has daily picture updates on Class dojo as well as a daily recap. It's helpful for parents so we know more about what's going on in class. Overall, all the staff I have interacted with here, have been awesome! I hope that Ms. Makia is still teaching when my youngest is in Ga Pre-k!!!

Two of my children attended the pre k program here. And they absolutely adored their teacher! Ms Igbenije is so warm and welcoming and my child is excited to see her every morning. She truly cares for the children in a way that allows me to feel my children are in great hands! Attending the pre-k program here definitely gave my children a head start for primary school.

Choosing a preschool is honestly one of the most stressful things you do as a parent but Oxford Academy in Georgia made it so easy. From day one the staff treated us like family. The security and the webcam access were huge for me because being able to check in and see my little one smiling and engaged gives me so much peace of mind while I am at work.
