Despite website saying they practice "Christ-centered learning" and having a religious name, I received an aggressive, untitled, impolite and unprofessional response when expressing interest in the curriculum, that that the school is NOT in any way religious. I am also not religious, but thanks for confirming your school is weird, likely has a poor curriculum, untrained, rude staff and has not figured out whether its a Christian school or not or is happy to deceive parents either way.
My son attended Our Saviour’s Lutheran Preschool, and we had a very positive experience. He was happy, supported, and received a strong academic foundation that helped him qualify for NYC’s Gifted & Talented program. He is currently attending Stuyvesant High School, and we’re very grateful for the start he got here. I understand how the school’s name might suggest a religious curriculum. However, in New York, any program receiving public funding cannot include religious instruction as part of its curriculum. In our experience, the focus was on academics, social development, and kindergarten readiness, not religious doctrine. We found the staff to be caring and professional.
