It was a good daycare a few years ago. Now they nickel and dime you every chance they get, raise the rates every year, show no flexibility with schedule changes, and don't respond to emails. They claim they are using all this extra money to pay employees but the turnover rate remains high so obviously they aren't. Use this place as a last resort. When the board of directors saw this review they emailed me asking about my concerns and asked me what they could do to help. I went into detail about every individual concern and told them how they could help me. Their response was we are raising rates an additional 10 percent this year so go elsewhere if you don't like it. I wish I could say I was surprised by the response but it's become pretty standard to deal with this type of attitude from them. Their goal is clearly to take as much as they can from their customers and give them as little as possible in return. So if you like paying what amounts to a mortgage every month to a daycare and in return dealing with poor attitudes from the people you are paying kings kids daycare is the place for you!
Great place and on top of it god is in everyday lessons in the rooms! The classrooms are ran like school and the kids get taught so much stuff. Fun environment and great teachers!!
My daughter attended Kings Kids for quite sometime.They were my last hope after experiencing terrible child care at other day cares in Norfolk.At first everything went well.My daughter enjoyed playing with kids her own age(6yrs old)and younger children as well.She would rave about teachers like Kirsten(Or Kristen)or the college kids who were really nice.However when those teachers left,things changed for the worst.There were a string of incidents that were not handled appropriately.One incident was racially charged.Despite going in person(accompanying my daughter)and speaking about why this incident should have been dealt with...Nothing was done! I soon removed my child from their care.For the first time in my daughter’s life,I had to teach her that children are NOT racist.Children witness such ignorant behavior or are taught to be biased.It is unfortunate that the staff did not care about each one of the children who attended this location.Unfortunate in every way!!!
