Fantastic guest morning at the YMCA! We attended Miranda’s longevity fitness class and it was fantastic! Very energetic class and group and really felt we got a work out. Seems like more guys should be challenging themselves with this class as it was noted I was potentially the first guy to take the class! I found it to be a great and challenging! C’mon men of Nevada, time to check it out! Thanks you!
I have been attending the YMCA off and on since it opened. In the past, I’ve always had a great experience with the gym, the staff and its community building mission! The current director, Jeff, has changed that with his misogynistic and sexist treatment of women. It’s disappointing and disheartening to see a director that is actively going against the community building and inclusiveness that YMCA has in it’s mission statement and that, in the past, this location had adhered to and cultivated.
I love the atmosphere and the relationships that I've gained through the community over the last year or so. Seeing familiar friendly faces everyday who genuinely care about how you are and like catching up with you and also keep you accountable in your fitness journey.
Great place to be a part of for all my fitness goals. Friendly and courteous staff who are there to answer any questions you may have concerning the Y. The brand new weights, and new equipment for us weight lifting enthusiasts is incredible! No matter what your cardio needs are, it's available at the Osage Prairie YMCA. Come be a part of the Y and take the first step on your fitness journey.
It's a really great gym overall and love how quiet it is after hours with the 24 hour membership, so I can work out and not have to be self conscious. It has almost anything you will need out of a gym and is kept neat and tidy. The staff is always cheery and I look forward to seeing the instructors for classes every day. The pool is clean and I love the showers. The only thing I can't stand is the fact that they play FOX news on 5 tvs half the time I'm there. And they're all different channels, so every one is on a different topic. News at all these days probably isn't the best thing to have on at a gym, but ESPECIALLY not FOX or CNN which are both known to be polarizing and disingenuous. The topics are regularly on inflation, immigration, abortion, gun rights, and other highly controversial or distressing topics that I do not want to be distracted with when I'm running. The one time I looked up and it wasn't FOX, they were playing Ancient Aliens??? Wish they would just play sports or something on all of them.... Other than that, I suppose, it's a great place to be.
