Thank you again, OPPORTUNITY OREGON!! I would say yesterday was a success! I went into the office for my 1pm appointment. The next thing I knew I was putting up shelving and interviewing for a job…..! I was feeling down on my luck and out of resources. But Nancy and Michelle, with their community connections got me a very decent job and I walked away with some hope. After close to a 18-20 year job gap because of prison, I didn’t believe there was employers who would see me an asset to there team- Opportunity oregon finds those employers! IDK what this JAY guys talking about...my experience with Opportunity Oregon is nothing short of a Blessing. I Recently release from Prison as well, and Having spent most of my lengthy set in Solitary confinement, you might say i have had some issues adjusting. Finding employment is a huge obstacle for felons, especially ones with Tattoos all over their face and head like me. The Encouragement and empowerment From the Staff especially Nancy really motivated me. The real kicker is that they put in the time... going into prisons and starting the process of change early. IF I COULD GIVE 6 STARTS I WOULD!!!
