Our family visited this church yesterday and felt immediately welcomed even though we had never been here before. I have known Pastor Weaver and have always loved his preaching. It's solid on Biblical truth, well explained, and clearly presented. Pastor Weaver has a way of teaching how the whole Bible is still relevant and applicable today. Even as visitors in this church we felt right as home as the people were kind and accepted my children with open arms into their classes. My kids said they loved their classes and would love to come back. My wife kept the staff busy chatting for quite some time after church and they never rushed us away or made us feel like our questions weren't important. This church has a heart for the people and even has new youth ministries for the youngest of God's people. If you are looking for a church that focuses on God's word, even just for a 1 time visit during vacation, I recommend stopping in and checking it out. They will welcome you like you belong here!
Leading up to our vacation I had been researching places our family could attend Sunday morning service that were solid Bible preaching churches. We had known Pastor Weaver from a previous ministry and had been watching Open Door Baptist on YouTube for several weeks leading up to the trip. The live stream gave us a look into how the service was ran and I appreciate being able to familiarize myself with that before bringing my family. When we arrived there were greeters at the door who welcomed us and showed us around. The children's ministries appeared to be thriving and my three children had no problem joining right in. The preaching was fantastic, clearly presented, and most important fully biblical. No need for fluff here. Pastor Weaver preached using several references points from the Bible that he encouraged you to follow along with and see that it's being taught exactly how it is written. I appreciate a church that stand solid on biblical truth rather than entertainment value. We were blessed to also witness a baptism at the end of service, welcoming new members to this growing congregation. We instantly felt at home here and will gladly attend anytime we are in town and a service is available. Open Door Baptist is a place filled with God's people eager to share the Word with their community as well as vistors. Thank you for welcoming my family.
Open Door Baptist Church is such a wonderful, welcoming place. There’s a real sense of community, and you can tell the people truly care. They have a new pastor who is friendly, down-to-earth, and preaches solid Bible truth. He genuinely loves people, and that comes through in both his preaching and his personal interactions. While the church did have a school and daycare in the past, those haven’t been in operation for over five years now. I currently have small children in the nursery, and it’s such a blessing knowing they’re being cared for by the pastor’s wife, who takes the responsibility seriously and truly cares about the kids’ safety and well-being. If you’re looking for a church that’s grounded in Scripture, has a heart for people, and is moving forward, I highly recommend Open Door Baptist Church.

This is a wonderful church with wonderful leadership. It's a true, Bible believing Baptist church, and I'm thankful I am able to take my kids here every service to hear God's word. My family and I always feel welcome here and love Sunday School and the children's ministries.
