My kids weren't here for a few months, a few weeks, or just for a short period 5 years ago so this isn't your average review. I've had kids here full-time since 2016 and I've seen it all. Have there been a few bumps in the road? Sure. Post-covid time was tough, I know there were staffing challenges and turnover for a period of time, but there were still many teachers in the building who stuck through it all and made it all worth it. From the infant room to the school-age program, I've felt like each of my kids were cared for and loved, genuinely. Ms. Shonda is the director now, and she is absolutely amazing, she has the best interest of kids AND staff in mind, I think the quality of teachers reflect that currently. We've had some of the most kind, patient, and loving teachers and staff that I look back on so fondly (as do my children!) Pros: the facility is well-kept, they have a great playground and do lots of fun things outside in the summer (water play, etc.) but something you won't find at any other daycare in town: a GYM. That's right, a place where your kids can run and get their energy out YEAR ROUND no matter the weather. This is INVALUABLE. The curriculum prepares them well for every stage, they are learning through play, sensory experiences, crafts, etc. My kids have been well-prepared for Kindergarten! They have a school-age program, including transportation TO and FROM all of the elementary schools in town, which has been so helpful as a working parent. The summer programming is amazing too- they go somewhere fun almost every day! Swimming, Science City, Fritz's, Skate City, zoos, local parks, etc. Cons: They only take kids through 3rd grade. :) My youngest is entering Kindergarten this year, so we're wrapping up our time at Open Arms. I get a little emotional just thinking about it, because it's been such a huge part of our lives the past 9 years. It is a wonderful place!

We have been an Open Arms family for close to 8 years now. I now have one in the before/after school program and one in pre-k. I can tell you when my oldest started kindergarten he was way ahead of the other kids going in and even the school staff and teachers would make comments that the Open Arms kids come into kindergarten with a huge advantage. The staff is like family to us. I personally have not had any issues with the care my children receive and have been happy with the facility and staff. There has been some turnover with the staff, but in 8 years, that is to be expected. Currently the teacher in my daughters afternoon room is the same that cared for my son as an infant. We love Open Arms and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good school and daycare for their child.

Absolutely the best daycare! Wish we would have found it sooner than we did. Mindy has been the best teacher for my son. She is very patient and understanding with the Little’s. He sometimes has a hard time with doing things he doesn’t want, but she always is finding a way to help improve these behaviors! Director and all other teachers/helpers are always so welcoming! Won’t be using any other daycare!

Both of our girls loved attending daycare/preschool here. All of the staff knew the girls and were all super friendly. Our oldest was more than prepared for Kindergarten. One of the hardest parts about moving was having to find a new day care as it was very difficult to find a spot that compared to Open Arms. Ms. Morgan in the infant room is the best! She is why we felt comfortable with our babies going to daycare.

Open Arms has been an amazing, quality childcare facility that we have seen grow over the years! The director, Angela, works tirelessly to make sure this school is a well-oiled machine. COVID really shook a lot of childcare facilities, as they are absolutely essential employees, but I believe Open Arms did the best they could! Your child will be loved and taken care of here.
