Oneonta Nursery School

My daughter has been at Oneonta for three years now (beginning with the caretaker-and-me Little Explorers program). This was her first experience with any school or care facility and I honestly couldn't ask for a better first step into her education. The teachers and director here are so incredible. Caring, inclusive and deeply committed to the social emotional growth of these little humans. My kid gets to be EXACTLY who she is here. Her interests are expanded upon through play. The play yard and bike yard are fantastic and something that I realized were hard to find elsewhere. They have plenty of time outdoors to explore freely (within a safe, closed off environment), get dirty, messy, challenge themselves and gain confidence. My girl's personality is thriving! While I understand the co-op model isn't for every family, it's really been such a blessing to ours. Between all the parent education opportunities to the in-classroom work days, it's been so wonderful to see the inner workings of my kid's school and experience this short, sweet time with her so closely. Plus, the other families are so wonderful and truly have started to feel like that "village" I didn't think existed anymore. Thank you OCNS for your heart.

My family and I are so very grateful for Oneonta! It has been such a magical experience since the first day we toured. We cannot imagine more perfect teachers for both our son and us to learn from each day. This is our second year being a part of this beautiful community and I love how each day I receive a similar answer from our 4.5 year old when asked, “Did you have a fun time at school today?” Typically, it’s an “Of course!” paired with a big smile. Cannot imagine a better place for our family for preschool.

Amazing School! The teachers work really hard to create an immersive, safe, fun, and creative learning environment. The community is welcoming and supporting. The classrooms and play spaces are well maintained. I can’t imagine a better preschool experience for my daughter!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Oneonta Cooperative Nursery School in South Pasadena! The care and dedication of the teachers, Ms. Coralee and Miss Caitlin, are truly unmatched. They both go above and beyond to create a nurturing and engaging environment for the children. Ms. Coralee brings warmth and creativity to the classroom, while Miss Caitlin’s patience and attentiveness make every child feel seen and valued. Together, they strike the perfect balance of fun and learning, helping the kids grow socially, emotionally, and academically. The co-op model also allows parents to stay involved in their child’s education, creating a wonderful sense of community.
