What Parents Say
Olive Child Care receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents who praise the caring staff, nurturing environment, and structured learning activities. However, one parent reported serious concerns about cleanliness, inadequate staffing, and alleged inappropriate teacher behavior.
I cannot say enough good things! My daughter is now 2 years old and has been at Olive since she was 10 weeks old. The staff is so friendly and truly amazing with the kids. It feels like a family! They have her on a great schedule, she learns so much and is involved with daily activities, and my husband and I feel confident knowing she is in a loving, nurturing environment. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for child care in the Olney area.
I have two sons (8 mo. & 3 yo) currently at Olive Child Care. From the first day dropping off our oldest son to this current day, my husband and I have been so comfortable leaving them in their care. The love for each child and passion to help them learn is undeniable. They also take the time to know each of the parents as well. It truly feels like family there. They have done an excellent job keeping our little guys on feeding/sleeping schedules and have taught them so much. The staff works hand and hand with the parents to help provide for your child’s needs (i.e.potty training). We really enjoy sneaking up and seeing how happy both our boys are in the care of the staff while playing with friends. If you are looking for a home away from home for your child, Olive Child Care is a perfect fit!
I have two children that have spent most of their childhood at Olive. My son is now in 3rd grade and started when he was about 15 months old (they had just opened). They are kind and gentle people who care for the child's emotional and comfort needs in addition to their developmental and cognitive growth. My son still loves to visit Olive when we drop off/pick up my daughter. He easily assimilated into Kindergarten and was well prepared not only for the scholastics but for the transition to an elementary school classroom. My daughter was a very tiny preemie (born 2 month early) and started at Olive when she was about 6 months old. Even with her delicate condition, I had confidence in her care. She is now a tough 4-year old and loves the staff and enjoys all she learns there. The kind, comforting staff are a good influence on my stubborn, sometimes emotional 4-year old. They have a wonderful way with her and she truly loves them and her friends in her class. Over the years, they have become increasingly organized. They always provided daily reports for the infants and toddlers, but over the last year or so, they started sending home monthly schedules of the curriculum they plan to cover with the 4-5 year olds. That helps parents reinforce the lessons at home or at least be able to converse with the child about what they are learning. Although my 4-year old is excited to go to elementary school, I know she will greatly miss the staff when she "graduates."
My daughter has been going to Olive Childcare since she was 3 months old. The staff there are extremely caring and loving towards the children and her face lights up each morning when we drop her off. Her development has been on schedule or even ahead of schedule and she is very happy there!
We love it at Olives! They provide genuine, thoughtful, and excellent care for each child. Our daughter loves everyone there. They got her on a great schedule, she is developing rapidly, and she has so much fun everyday
