I was so worried about putting my 6 month-old son in daycare. I toured multiple spots in the area and we ended up selecting Olde City Day School based on affordability and proximity to my husband’s office. We are so happy we did. Our son has now been at OCDS for 8 months, and in that time we have had only positive experiences. He never cries at drop-off, he smiles and claps when he sees his teachers, and as parents I’ve loved every interaction I’ve had with the staff. I actually began listing individual people from OCDS that we love for this review, and then I realized that I was listing everyone. Gloria and all of the teachers are wonderful and treat our son like family, and the rest of our family too. They’re flexible with schedules and life in general, and I look forward to picking him up and chatting with the teachers each day. They have a camera available if you want to check-in throughout the day, and the photos and updates they send of his adventures in school through their app are wonderful. My son is just over a year now, but even as a tiny infant he had music class, drawing, painting, a Valentine’s exchange, water play, an Easter Egg Hunt, and last week they even had a yoga instructor come in to interact with the kids. The photos of all of it are so cute and I can’t express how happy we are with our decision to enroll him in OCDS. I am posting this review because when we were looking for a daycare option, our only hesitation with OCDS were some ancient reviews that weren’t super positive. Here’s a current review of this special place in hopes that other families will find OCDS and enroll their kids confidently, knowing that they will be safe and happy. We love OCDS.

Since this school had a director change like a year ago it became amazing! My daughter (2.5 yo) loves going there every day, teachers go above and beyond with so many craft activities every day and every time it is something new! There is a dance and Spanish class every week, and yoga every other week. Kids play in a big playroom twice a day during recess. We are very happy with this school now, it gives us peace of mind so we can focus on our work and not worry about our little girl.

I put my 10 month old in this daycare and she loves it. Every time I pick her up she is happy. The teachers and the Assistant director are so nice! They give her so many activities, food and snacks. I am confident in having my child at this establishment.

I switched my baby to OCDS after a very trying experience with another daycare. I was so nervous to start over, but OCDS has been very supportive, attentive, and detail-oriented. It's a day school serving babies so nothing is perfect-- the caregivers have their hands full-- but they speak to the babies with love, host circle time with a bongo drum and singing, and get out in the fresh air often. My child always comes home with a smile on her face. Also, you can check in via camera on an app. What parent doesn't like that?

The worst experience I could have ever had in a Daycare center. My daughter is 2 years old and I look for many options within Philly. This school it was a good choice until the first day. 1. They forgot to schedule in the classroom roster that my daughter was beginning that day. 2. When I finally left her in the classroom and I went to finish some paperwork. The teachers left the children UNATTENDED I don't know for how long that my daughter went to the office to look for me (the office wasn't close to her classroom) the teacher came later telling that my daughter was able to scape the classroom while she was reading her file. How is that even possible??? They didn't even try to apologize for the incident! Thanks God this happened while I was there. Don't go to this school!! There are much better places for your child to have the appropriate attention
