What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise the Old Town-Orono YMCA for its excellent facilities, friendly staff, and diverse programs for all ages. Multiple reviewers highlight the daycare services, swimming, fitness classes, climbing gym, and youth activities as valuable amenities that serve the community well.
The Old Town-Orono YMCA is the best! We joined about a year ago to be able to get indoor exercise, especially during the winter months. We have enjoyed the pickleball immensely. Have also enjoyed the walking track and the a few of the exercise programs (chair yoga and pilates). The staff is so friendly and helpful. It has turned out to not only be a good place for exercise; but the social aspect has been an added benefit! Thank you for all you do. This is a well-run organization and facility!!!
I joined thy Old Town-Orono Y after I retired. I soon realized I should have done so much sooner. I didn't realize how much there is to do. Pickleball, weights, swimming and a bunch of classes just to mention a few of the available activities. I've also made lots of new friends and always look forward to our visits to the Y. And if that weren't enough, the staff are the warmest, friendliest and most helpful people you'll meet. Great people, great facility, and LOTS of fun!
Used to be a great facility. New CEO is the same one who tanked and closed the Dover YMCA. Scott Wilcox has now just shut down a very competitive gymnastics program with no input from the community, taking chances away from girls all over the community. Downright shameful.
I absolutely love this place, I go there regularly to climb with friends. If it weren't for Stacey, I wouldn't have excelled or liked it. Very cheap for a day pass, great climbing gym. I enjoy my time every time I go. It's awesome. I would definitely invite more friends
Climbing wall closed.. now the gymnastics team is done. This YMCA is losing everything that makes it unique. The CEO is the same person that oversaw the fail and closing of the Dover YMCA..
