The first day I picked up my son from camp I asked him what he liked most about camp and his answer was “Everything!” I have had the same response from him for a month now. He has attended other camps that do not come anywhere close to how well organized and run this one is. I know he’s safe, cared for and having an incredible time. I was nervous at first because he is on the spectrum and can have a hard time navigating social situations. I love that I was able to provide his IEP and other helpful information to help him succeed. Such a great and easy experience as a parent.
I love my Y family and the team that makes it happen The variety of classes is amazing I get the best work out wether it’s from Spin, Zumba or Y strength and many more!! I have made so many new friends and now I get to play Pickle Ball!!
Not to busy, great kids zone and the outdoor pool is so family friendly.
Discriminates against people with disabilities. My son with special needs was told he could not take a dollar store beach ball or water guns into the pool. When we went inside, several children had more hazardous balls and larger squirt guns. The lifeguards ignored their squirt guns until he literally asked why it was allowed for them. Groups of kids were throwing actual footballs, tennis balls, and heavy rubber balls that are normally used to dribble into the pool. They lifeguards said it was up to them what they allow. When I pointed out to management the inconsistency and the fact that what they allow is more hazardous than why they're denying my son to use, they did not care, refused to acknowledge the need for a sign specifying the rules, and being fair to everyone. For years, the child watch either refused to watch my child or forced him to leave due to being special needs. This place needs to learn how to treat people with disabilities fairly. My son was very upset because all the other kids were allowed to play with balls that could easily cause a concussion, but he was not allowed to play with his that is simply harmless cheap plastic. They claimed it was because his was slightly bigger so it could hide a nearly 5 ft person in a 4 ft 6 in pool, but that is complete nonsense. The manager thought having specific signs on what is allowed or not allowed isn't necessary. They should be held accountable for discrimination and lack of consistency. My children were the only ones who were swim tested the 3 hours we were there and many younger children walked in without even asked a name to verify if they could swim. The pool itself is very basic and shallow. Only a small fraction is the deepest at 4 feet.
The staff is amazing but the setup of the actual gym is terrible
