I was walking from shovel town brewery back to my home when I found this hidden gem, unlike the governors estate zero signs of the feeb, still a couple of shrews though. I had gone into the men’s locker room and noticed how hot it was to the point that the shrews were shriveling up and expiring on the floor. I thought that was weird until I saw it. The 14 ft. tall alter to some ancient deity, had horns and like a cow face. It also had the ambient room temperature of 456 degrees wich I thought to be extremely amateurish for a business of this size. That being said I might be back next week.
Was trying to work out peacefully, however when I stepped into the locker room I had to mush over heaps of shriveled shrews and the heat was well over 209 degrees. When I mentioned this to the clerk they just blew cigarette smoke in my face and gave me a free month membership… nice community though sue me
Been a member 4 months, go 5-6 times per week Overall: Small but well equipped, bit dated but clean. Can be busy or empty depending on your timing. Personally feel it's a great value Weightlifting Equipment: Mix of free weights and exercise machines. Again, this is a small location, so while most machines they only one have one of, they have a wide selection and pretty much everything you could need. The exception is cable machines, which they have 8 of. During busy times you may have to wait for a specific machine, but you can generally work in or something else will be open. Several pairs of dumbells in lower weights, one pair in 5 lb increments from 35-100 lbs. Cardio Equipment: In main workout room downstairs - 4 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, 2 recumbent bikes. Upstairs in the "Family Workout" room (which I didn't realize existed my first 3 months lol) 5 treadmills, 3 stair climbers, 1 ladder climber, 2 steppers, 2 stationary bikes, 2 rowing machines Group/Classes: Several group exercise rooms, classes included in the membership. So far only been to yoga with Gail, she's great! Good amount/variety of classes offered throughout the day including HIIT and elder-focused classes Other: -Kettle bells, exercise balls, yoga mats, resistance bands, etc are available in the upstairs group exercise room when a class is not in session. -Water bubbler available upstairs and downstairs by front desk -App works pretty well Pool: 3 lane lap pool with free swim area. Can be loud/busy during swim lessons. 18+ hot tub and steam room (mixed gender) in the pool area. Both are clean, get hot, and are well maintained. Men's and women's family (all ages) locker rooms attached to pool area. Men's has a suit spinner Locker rooms: Women's and Men's 18+ locker rooms off of the main workout space, can only speak to the Men's. Good availability of day use lockers. Has an open shower space with provided soap dispensers or shelves for personal products. Sauna is smaller (4-5 guys max) but gets HOT. Usually clean, only been down once for a few days since I've been a member Cons: -Pool/hot tub/steam room area not connected to main locker rooms -No water fountain in or near the men's locker room -Can get busy due to smaller size -Short weekend hours Anecdotally Observed Busy or Slow Times (M-F): - 5:30AM-6:15AM - Busy with the pre-work crew. Generally older, focused, use locker room to get ready for work - 6:15AM-8ish AM - Slower lull after the pre-work crew clears out - 8AM-1:15PM - Fairly consistently busy, but not packed - 1:15PM-3PM - Sweet spot, nearly empty - 3PM-4:30PM - Busy bc High Schooler day care. Some of the guys actually are there to work out, but a lot are just there to socialize and are a nuisance camping out on equipment - 4:30PM-5:15PM - Another slower lull once the high schoolers leave but before the post-work crew rolls in - 5:15PM-6:45PM - Can vary a bit, but usually really busy with the post-work pre-dinner crowd - 6:45PM-Close - never actually been at this time so idk haha
The best experience I could have. I am very grateful to the program for its flexible schedule and service. for all its quality!
They never answer the phone. One time a member answered the phone. He said he answered because the past 20 mins the ringing kept disrupting his treadmill routine. The daycare is not clean and poorly chosen space for it. Looks like a fire hazard. All these young babies and toddlers in gross space. Great to see teens workout, but it is too much of a cluster. Small weight room Machines are really close together. No privacy corner at all. Don't see many members clean the equipment after they use it. Members are friendly which is a plus. Enough parking. I was mislead on the price of membership. Canceling this week.
