We went to the church service on Sunday morning and were very warmly welcomed. They were very kind and attentive and made us feel like part of their Ohana.
A truly amazing church and an even more loving and kind congregation. I am beyond blessed to call Ohana Baptist Church my home church. Everyone here is like family to me. They have extended such kindness and grace in some darker times. They are incredibly Military friendly. I have lived in Hawaii for 13 years and a lot of churches we have been to have been welcoming, but often wouldn't let us serve in "core" positions. At Ohana they understand that Military families schedules are always changing and that the families will come and go and they will still let us serve anywhere where we fit. I attended Ohana Baptist Church about 2 years before I moved back to the mainland. Recently I was back on Oahu for a short visit. It was WONDERFUL to see my Ohana again at Ohana Baptist Church…everyone is so friendly! The music is beautiful, meaningful and so worshipful…and Pastor’s messages are impactful - always with an object lesson you won’t soon forget! I see God is continuing to richly bless His Ohana here! Praise God!! Visitors are warmly welcomed!!
My roommate and I visited Ohana Baptist Church during our vacation in Hawaii in November 2018. We loved it! Everyone was so welcoming, the music was uplifting and Christ-honoring, and the preaching was great! We definitely felt at home here. We are already planning another trip to HI in the future and will definitely visit Ohana Baptist again.
The church overall is very well put together with a bunch of kids programs and activities, enthusiastic followers of God and good parking. On the other hand Not a big fan of the music has an old southern Baptist feel to it, the message was biblically accurate but lacked passion and a spiritual enthusiasm that comes from the heart, seems like the systematic structure of the church put a lot of pressure on its members. Also wish the church could be a little more diverse too.
