Oakdale preschool is a very special place to grow and learn. Every day the teachers and Director show up so present in their work. They genuinely care about the growth and development of each child in an individualized way. They take the time to listen to what the children have to say. The children learn how to be kind to one another because they are treated with kindness and respect. The school is experiential and allow the children to learn by their own trial and error rather than the adults doing the task for them. As a pediatric speech therapist, I appreciate the way the teachers use rich language and provide opportunities for the social use of language with peers while playing and problem solving. I could go on and on about how Oakdale provides a safe and loving place to land for children. They are truly doing the important work of raising up the little people that one day will make this world a better place.
