I don’t consider myself a “churchy” person yet my husband and I came to this church because of their committed, front-lines involvement supporting the most vulnerable population of folks in our community: the homeless. Upon visiting our first Sunday worship service two years ago, I immediately knew we had found something special. The homeless mission is just the tippy top of the iceberg here. ALL are welcome and we live into that statement! As we say each Sunday, “All means all. And that’s all.” Come be a part of the All as God intended it to be.
I grew up going to OHUMC and explored other churches around Austin once I had a family of my own. After COVID, when things started becoming in-person again, we decided to try it out. We are now members, actively involved in Sunday School, and volunteer within other ministries throughout the church. Our Sunday School has become a close community of families that are enjoying sharing life and watching our kids grow up together. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly and eager to get to know you more. A common message is, "All means all -- and that's all" and it couldn't be more true. They truly are just so happy for you to be there, no matter your background.

Our kids love going to Sunday school and enjoyed the VBS program. The message during service is always thoughtful. The congregation and pastors are all very welcoming.
We stumbled across Oak Hill United Methodist Church about a year and a half ago and we absolutely love it! Their nursery started taking care of our son during service when he was about 4 or 5 months old. They'll gladly accept any baby of any age and have excellent nursery staff. They have the most loving and considerate community. In the mornings before service, the fellowship hall usually offers a full breakfast instead of the normal don't stand most churches offer. It's an extra opportunity to connect with church members you might not have met before. The services are good and the Sunday School classes are great! We absolutely love our Family Faith class which is full of parents with younger kids like us!
