What Parents Say
NU Building Blocks Day Care Center receives mostly positive reviews praising the staff, director Ms. Pat, and quality of care and education. Two negative reviews cite concerns about front desk reception and staff knowledge of allergies.
If you're looking for an affordable high-quality day-care, this is it. The staff is amazing. I have my 22 month old daughter there, and I'm very pleased with the amount of attention, and care her teachers (Miss Yanisha & Miss Daniell) puts into her and in every child. Ms Pat the director is very involved with the parents, the daycare has great hours for working parents, and it is located in a very accessible area by bus or car. Excellent program for toddlers. They are very supportive and go out their way to make sure each child feels special. I just love this place.
All 3 of my children have attended Nu Building Blocks over a 10 year span. I have always loved the director and the staff she chooses. Ms. Dannielle is my childs current teacher and i love the way she motivates and encourages him in his academics. I love that the 4yr old are reading and writing efficiently before they enter grade school. My daughter was skipped a grade after graduating from Nu Building Blocks. Keep up the good work in the community
Daycares have never been my thing. I walked my niece to school today which was crying on our way saying she don't want to go. I get there being MY FIRST TIME dropping her off. It was not welcoming, friendly or nice at all. She assumed I didn't have the code to check her in so she basically rushed me off and said she will check her in. I was the only one there until about 3 parents after me came in. front desk person talking about masked which my niece is under 5. But the fact that she wasn't worried about the 4 parents and they children in that little space cramped up was more of my concern. But hey I don't run are own a daycare business just worked for them over 10 years.
My child has been going to the school since 12/2016 she has eczema and very bad allergies (medication, food and environmental allergies) to be exact. Both are not contagious and come and go. The school has given me problems minus the director about my child having a runny nose or red eyes the last draw for me was them accusing my child of having pink eye when I knew it was her allergies. All the staff need to take a course on allergies because they know nothing about them. If your child has bad allergies like minds don't send your child there. I was very inconvenience on there ignorance of allergies so I removed her for good.
One of the absolute best daycare facilities in the La Area. Ms. Pat has a staff that really tends to the children. I have noticed a difference in my children that attend her daycare. Well mannered, using new words and even more sociable . Kudos Ms Pat
