My daughter attended this Head Start program, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The teachers and staff truly care about the children and create such a loving, safe, and supportive environment. I saw so much growth in my daughter, both academically and socially—she became more confident, independent, and excited about learning every day. They also do a wonderful job keeping parents involved and informed, which made me feel like a partner in her education. I’m so grateful for the patience, kindness, and dedication the staff show. My son attended Northern Manhattan from the age of 3 and we had an amazing experience The teachers love and cared for him as if he was their own. Now in college he has also had the opportunity tu return to Northern Manhattan to help and assist in the summer. From administrative and all the staff, highly recommend to everyone.

I am the founding Director of this program and SO proud to see what it has evolved to! We opened in 2000 with just 30 Head Start spaces and now the program serves so many more. Thank you to all of the staff that work at the various locations and for serving the children and families in the community everyday!!!
I’m not sure what organization was here before 1990, but I attended a HeadStart program at this location in the early-mid 1970’s. I still have fond memories of this place to this day.
