Northeast Stars is wonderful. We had some issues with a previous daycare and decided to switch and we immediately saw improvement in our little man. He had been on the verge of talking for a couple months and within a month of NE Stars his talking greatly improved. He has become so self sufficient and I contribute that to NE Stars. He is excited to go to “school” every day and it is comforting to know he is somewhere safe where he can grow and build relationships with his friends. The staff are extremely flexible and communicate everything efficiently - you never feel out of the loop. We are honestly sad to be leaving for Pre-K 3. If you are looking for a daycare with a safe, structured environment this is the place for you and your little one.
This review correlates to the D.C. campus. Cannot recommend enough! The original STEM curriculum as their baseline, the engagement and care with the kids has always been buttery smooth while our 3-yo is attending. The program wouldn’t be anything without stupendous staff, with Ms. Jimenez at the core alongside Ms. Jackson and Ms. Martinez and others forming the all-star crew. Progress reports, visitation options, secured facility, and competent 3rd party app for comms round out the high marks I confidently parade to NES. They’re worth your time to play investigate for your little one(s).
We were worried about our 2yo’s transition to “school” after being at home with mom and brother, but NES and their amazing staff gave him all the love and support he needed during his transition. He enjoys going everyday and is proud to walk into his “school” and is growing and learning so much.
NES has been such a wonderful school experience for our 3 year old. The teachers are professional, dedicated, and caring. The school communicates with parents constantly to provide updates and action photos during the day. Our son comes home every day and tells us of the wonderful activities he does, which we feel is paying huge dividends as far as his vocabulary and general development.
My son Sammy started at Northeast Stars (DC location) last summer for camp. Prior to that he was home with grandma until age two. As a result, coming in to a full time care environment was totally new to him and it was a tough transition. However, the staff there, especially Miss Dina (lead teacher), Miss Kim (Sammy's classroom teacher) and Miss Monica (after care teacher), were incredibly warm and worked through it with us. There were many tears in the morning and at the end of the day when Sammy would see other kids picked up before him. However, it only took a few weeks for him to adjust before he was waving goodbye and running in to join his friends and teachers. One year later, after a successful school year, Sammy is back for camp and continuing to love it. He is now 3 years old and in extremely great shape to start Pre-K 3 at a Montessori program in PG county in the fall. I am confident that he will blow his new teachers away with all he has learned already at Northeast Stars. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to help her child get a head start with learning activities of daily life, practicing motor skills, as well as working on precursors for reading, writing, and math. All this before age 3! I also particularly enjoy the emphasis on grace and courtesy. We really get a kick out of how polite our little guy has grown to be at such a young age. I know this will serve him well throughout life.
