What Parents Say
Northbrook Early Childhood Academy receives perfect 5/5 ratings from parents who consistently describe it as a family-oriented environment rather than a typical daycare. Parents praise the dedicated, long-tenured staff who build genuine relationships with children and families, provide excellent academic preparation for kindergarten, and maintain open communication through daily updates. The facility is described as safe, clean, and loving while offering realistic pricing and hours for working parents.
For seven years we were able to share both our children with Northbrook. Our children were loved, educated and cared for by the kind staff at Northbrook. We made life long family friends. Even after pre-K graduation, we proudly reunite with staff and classmates. Our favorite thing about Northbrook is the staff consistency. It’s literally family owned run in the back of a church. Since the core staff is family, they stay and more importantly build genuine relationships with their families. Our children grew up with the staff. This consistently allowed for truly educated growth and honest assessment. Both children were very well prepared for school. The staff knew when our children needed a hug and/or truly didn’t feel well. Finally and practically, the hours are realistic for working parents and they are open all year except for the normal Christmas break. Cost is realistic considering area and market. Yes, we would proudly recommend them to any area family.
Highly recommend Northbrook to all families. They really are like family, and they really show they care every day. Safe, clean, and a loved environment. We’re able to reach them anytime of the day, we get updates and pictures daily. He learns so much and we’re so thankful for Northbrook!
We love this school! First, I’ll start by saying that the staff and directors are second to none. Our son has attended Northbrook since he was a baby and there is no other place I’d rather take him during working hours to ensure the satisfaction of knowing he is loved, cared for and brought up with the same values we try to instill in his heart every day. Northbrook isn’t just a daycare or a school, they are like family and we couldn’t be more proud to send our son here every day. Our son is on his last year at Northbrook before he’s off to kindergarten. Trust me when I say, look no further if you want to know your child is safe, loved and cared for in your absence.
Finding Northbrook was a godsend for us. We thought we were looking for a daycare and summer camp for our children, but what we found was so much more. We found a family! We found amazing people who treated our kids like their own. We had used other daycares before that we felt were good, but Northbrook really was everything we were looking for and everything we didnt know we needed. We honestly wish Northbrook was an elementary and high school as well so our kids could stay in this environment all through school. Northbrook truly is wonderful!
What a gem Northbrook is!! It is the best of both worlds, small enough to feel like a cozy in-home daycare but large enough to have the oversight and resources of a daycare center. My boys are both Northbrook kids, from ages two until PreK graduation, and they still talk about their Northbrook days and how much they loved their time there. Northbrook has the best PreK program! The kids are learning and exploring through classroom and sensory activities, seasonal projects, singing, movement, and playtime with friends. The students leave there well prepared for kindergarten not only academically but also in being self-sufficient. The staff teaches caring and respect for friends in the kindest ways so the kids come out feeling proud of their choices and school accomplishments. The owners are open to feedback and are continually refining the process and the facility. All in all my only complaint is that it isn’t a P-8 campus because we’d never have left!
