North Callaway R-1 School District

I'd say currently avoid this district. For numerous reasons. First? Bottom 5% in the state academically - and easy to see why. Teachers... don't provide consistent adequate teaching. You'll have two classes of a grade level with completely different curriculums. We'd go months without reports on grades, no updates, or ... well putting it mildly responses which would have most teachers let go. Add to this things like newsletters or announcements which can be late, missing data, or just inaccurate. Frankly if you can use a private school, or do a different district, do it. Been INCREDIBLY unimpressed with this district. There ARE good teachers and some great people which is why it's two stars but the leadership is sadly lacking. Perhaps the middle school or others than the hatton one will be better. And there is a new superintendent, so maybe that'll improve things.
