My family had a wonderful experience here. My two children were well cared for and supported from day one. The teachers and staff are incredibly nurturing and loving. The programs are great, and Mrs. Donneeka and Mrs. Kortney are amazing, responsive, and understanding. We only left due to a move away, and are so happy we had our time here.
The best daycare in DC! We feel so lucky to have found DOL Kindercare during our childcare search. The teachers and staff are communicative, thoughtful and so organized! Our son loves going to school everyday and can't wait to get out of the house to be welcomed by his teachers and friends. The teachers do an amazing job to offer structure and stimulation - circle time, planned activities, arts and crafts, and supervised independent play. My 18 month old is always surprising us with new words, songs, and ideas that he's learning. To top it off, the onsite, private playground offers an opportunity for city kids to play outside while the covered patio is perfect for rainy days. Highly recommended!
We couldn't recommend this daycare more! The teachers are incredibly thoughtful, diligent, creative, and have instilled great responsibility in our child. The leadership staff is incredible! The classrooms and playground are the best on the Hill! You won't regret sending your child here, it's been an incredible experience!
My child has been at this daycare for about six months in two different classes (he aged up). All of the teachers we've interacted with have been excellent. They take wonderful care of the children, seem excited to be doing their work and are thoughtful and creative. The administrative staff are also excellent. They are always willing to help with whatever issue has arisen and are very good at communicating with families. Together the teachers and the administrators have helped us through potty training, a behavioral issue and my child beginning to recognize numbers and letters. They do a good job of balancing free play and some more structured play with learning goals. The center also has good food which my son eats almost all of every day.
All three of my children have attended this daycare. My children are genuinely happy to go to school every day. The teachers are attentive and creative, and also have a great sense of humor The structured curriculum allows the children to gain exposure to different areas of knowledge and life skills, and the teachers monitor each child's development in the classroom to better inform parents about how we can reinforce the lessons and skills being taught. The school also provides optional extracurricular activities, and my kids have also enjoyed taking part in these classes such as ballet and karate. The administrative staff go to great lengths to communicate effectively with parents and keep us informed on all the school news.
