Noah's Ark Christian Daycare has received mixed reviews following recent ownership changes. While many parents praise the staff's care, experience, and communication, others express serious concerns about new management, inadequate incident reporting, reduced employee benefits, overcrowding, and insufficient supervision.
We loved this daycare for years, until this last year when Lauren fell into the director position. Lauren has no experience or training being in any sort of management role. She hides behind a computer and sends emails to sound intimidating or in charge, but when you talk to her in person or bring an issue to her attention she is visibly shaking and unable to handle a conversation. She can never give you a definite answer and never seems to know what is happening. Over the last year we started having increased incident reports with our toddler, but when asked about them, we received multiple stories that didn’t align. It got to the point where management stopped telling us about incidents unless we brought them to their attention. They are LEGALLY required to tell us about incidents, and they have neglected to do so too many times. The new owner Dawn has taken this daycare and completely destroyed the moral of the staff. They no longer receive PTO or health insurance or pay raises. The new owner is so money hungry she has crammed more kids into each classroom and not increasing teacher pay. Staff are so overworked and under appreciated that things are falling through the cracks. Kids are not being supervised properly and being left unattended. Don’t get me wrong, there are some WONDERFUL teachers at Noah’s, but at the end of the day, when you have a gut feeling as a parent that something is not right, please listen to that feeling. My children are not something I’m willing to risk.
I love that this center is now locally owned, so much better than corporate care! I love that the director and assistant director are present for staff and families. Working in child care is often a thankless job, so thankful these teachers are here and taking such amazing care of the children!
My family has loved this daycare since the new owners took over. Their staff has been great with the kids and the love going everyday to learn and play.
Not impressed with new owner or Lauren. Hiding things from parents. Shame on you. You should take a long look in the mirror and have a serious one on one with yourself and what you are doing. Both of you. So disappointed.
Staff is great with the kids. The staff in the whole building know every childs name. Some staff have been there for >10 years. Management is good about communication. Do lots of fun activities with the kids.
