We have only amazing things to say about Nishi Center. Our daughter has been attending for a year and the amount of care, compassion and nurturing from the teachers has been incredible. We were previously at another daycare and while it was great, we felt it was lacking in a curriculum or structure that would inspire and challenge growing minds. Nishi has been the perfect place and every day we see the amazing things our daughter learns and experiences. They have so much fun engaging with the world by going on field trips and library walks, plus the weekly art, gym and music classes are nothing short of spectacular. We feel so lucky to have found Nishi and always feel secure in our child’s education and safety during this critical learning period. Compared to other preschools in the area Nishi is also exceptionally affordable and extremely high quality.

I’m so thankful to have found the Nishi Center! Mrs. Susan, the director, welcomed my son with open arms. I had been struggling with potty training my 4-year-old, and within the first month of him starting there, he was fully potty trained! The teachers are wonderful, and I love the enrichment and educational activities they provide. I’ve definitely noticed a big improvement in my little boy. Don’t hesitate to enroll your child—you’ll be glad you did!

Three years ago, when my older child started at Nishi, I was nervous, since he was a covid baby who hadn't attended any outside daycare or childcare previously. But Ms. Susan, Ms. Maria, Ms. Gaby, and the whole team are so loving, that my fears melted away immediately. They made my son know that he belonged, and that they looked forward to seeing him every day. The teachers really get to know the kids, their strengths and needs, and develop an individual plan for each one to help them grow intellectually and personally. Each year, they complete an academic and social-emotional evaluation for each child, and it's amazing to see how much personal detail goes into the daily activities. The Nishi Center isn't just a school, it's a real community, both for the kids and the parents. Some of my son's classmates have parents who went to Nishi when they were kids thirty years ago, and they drive across town to give their kids the same great experience. My younger child just started at Nishi, and I'm so glad that we get to continue our relationship with this beautiful group of people in this very special community.

Nishi Center has been such an amazing experience for our little one! The staff is kind, caring, and personable, always welcoming us each day with open arms. And, there is a strong sense of community and investment in Little Tokyo; the field trips are so much fun. Thanks Nishi Center, for all you do to inspire and uplift this next generation of youth.

My child has been going here for a year and I could not be happier with the staff and overall experience. Some of the many perks: -weekly field trips to the library -cook traditional japanese snacks -plenty of outdoor space -very affordable -open year round (except national holidays) -optional gymnastics and music classes Their website says they give preference to Buddhists and temple members, but most kids there (including us) aren't members or buddhist, so don't let that turn you away from this wonderful child development center.
