Nicole’s Nest is an exceptional center! All of the staff have years of experience in education and child care. I LOVE that the staff is certified in various childcare specialty services. Then center is always clean, well staffed, and has such a variety of appropriate educational toys. Nicole’s Nest even has a summer camp for school age kids as well!!! Definitely the best childcare center in the area! The owner Nicole is so professional and you can really see how much she cares and pours into the children!

My children have attended Nicole’s Nest since they were just 3 months old, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this place. The staff is consistently professional, kind, and genuinely caring. I’ve watched my children grow, learn, and thrive here—they have learned so much in such a nurturing environment. Nicole’s Nest truly feels like an extension of our family, and I’m so thankful to have them as part of my village.

I’m not the one to complain however this child care facility went from a great place to a unprofessional mess. My son has attended Nicole’s Nest since he was 4 months and now he’s 13 months. I’m unsure how this child care facility has 5 star rating. In the beginning my son was happy to attend. He was always clean, at pick up, and he was always smiling and wanting to go. However a couple months ago he started crying at drop off. I had received a notice that my son was biting and I was told to send him toys. I did just that. No other complaints were made regarding biting. However then I received a call stating his nails were a bit long and he scratched someone. They asked if they could clip his nails and I said that’s fine. Last week I received a text message asking if we could have a meeting to “get on the same page” regarding my 13 month old. I had a meeting and at the meeting the owner/director who will see you at the door and will not greet you, had the nerve to tell me she understands a baby will bite however she’s never had a child in her care out of 20+ years that bite. I found this hard to believe. So I continue to allow her to address the “issues” they were having with my 13 month old. I told Nicole no issues other than the 1st time was ever discussed with me. My 13 month at home doesn’t bite the other babies I have at home so I was surprised that it was still an issue. She then proceeded to say that my son would need to take a 30 days break from her child care center. I had already been in search of a new child care center because this child care center doesn’t provide food. I found this very awkward because I have 2 other children and I never had to prepare food for a baby. Also, when my son was able to eat solids “doctor’s order” this child care center told me that I had to provide him baby food until he was 1 year old age. I could not provide him with solids until the day he turned 1. Then I provided bibs because everyday at pick up my son would be so dirty. Although I provided bibs the child care teachers would not use them. His nose would’ve runny and crusted at pick up also. To mention how many days they are closed was another issue. They were really closed, July 1st, 4th and 5th. Not to mention how many “training days/ vacation days” they had. Barely open for working families. This is not a in home child care this is a actual child care center. Nicole’s Nest is 5 stars because she is taking the lazy way out. No meals being prepared, barely doing anything with the kids. They kids doesn’t even learn anything. However they are charging more than most child care centers. The good thing is I had already reached out to child care centers so his last day was going to be today. Dissatisfied with this child care center. I don’t believe my baby was the problem I think that because this is a black own business and I have court proceedings with someone they are family with she is being spiteful.

They were cool at first until they started to close on random days with very little notice. One time it was “due to an anticipated low attendance” and something in regards to wanting to give the staff an additional off day because of the holiday. They are FOREVER understaffed, out of ratio and stressed out. The kids don’t learn SQUAT! They have very little structure as well. They don’t transition kids properly to the next class either. Their sick policy is lax as all get out!! Legit have seen the same students several times come in with mucus oozing out of their nose and eyes face red, eyes teary, all that, but were NOT sent home literally until I said something about them looking sick to staff. They also never notify parents of the sicknesses that are going around the center. It started to become like Russian Roulette every time I dropped my boys off. (Sickness spreads like wildfire in daycares of course. Nicole’s used to be VERY good at cleaning, I’m talking you can smell the bleach when you hit the door, but that was short lived unfortunately.) Now my kids have been in daycares before attending Nicoles Nest and have NEVER been as sick as they were while attending Nicole’s Nest. This particular time after seeing the babies with the oozing mucus, my 3 year old started to have the same symptoms (they were in the same class), I took him to the doctor and he had strep. Kept him out until he was feeling better. Then shortly after that he got sick again and THIS time my 10 month old started to have sick symptoms as well. Took them to the doctor and the 10 month old ended up having rhinovirus, paraflu and a swollen lymph node due to those sicknesses. He was hospitalized immediately. I notified the daycare while I was in the ER with him that I would be keeping both boys home until they started feeling better. He came home a few days later, only to be hospitalized AGAIN at the end of the week for a few more days. I was in contact with Dania the entire time letting her know what was going on. TELL ME WHY this lady texted me KNOWING EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON MIND YOU!!! And told me “Nicole said we have to give up the boys spot. They’ve been out too long and we have a waiting list” and that was it. She had never mentioned this as a possibility to me before. I didn’t even respond to her, I just went to the daycare the next day to gather my sons things. I get there, I press the button to alert them that I’m at the door. YALL tell me why Nicole was standing right there by the button to press to let me into the daycare, looked at me, picked her son up and went into her office. 😵‍💫😮‍💨 Which left the other daycare teacher (it was close to the end of the day so there were only two teachers left with about 15-20 kids waiting to be picked up still) to leave the kids they’d hoarded into the gym, BY THEMSELVES, while she answered the door for me and nervously but nicely gathered my boys’ things, because Nicole was still hiding in her office for whatever reason. I even spoke to Nicole like I did every day when dropping my kids off, and she didn’t speak back. Talk about a guilty conscience, HA!! I’ve never EVER been aggressive towards staff or disrespectful, even after I walked in and they had my 3 year old TODDLER strapped in an INFANT HIGH CHAIR because he didn’t want to take a nap. Which just lets ME know, that they ALL KNOW, they was dead wrong. And you gotta pack your kids lunch too because they don’t have kitchen or refrigerator. They give the kids the same mundane “snacks” and “breakfast items”. They always had my 10month baby on his back in a chair because they didn’t have anywhere for him to practice crawling safely without the other kids in the infant room crawling all over him and because the play pen got “broke”😵‍💫seems to me with a daycare FULL of kids and a waiting list that you should at least be able to provide adequate toys, play areas and lunches for the children at the center. Right? Oh.
