I am a first year returning non traditional student at SUNY Niagara, this is the 3rd college I’ve been enrolled at over the years and I will say it’s probably my favorite of them all including over a 4 year private institution I went to. The professors are all really great that I’ve had, you can tell they care about their profession and the success of their students genuinely, so it makes me want to work harder to give it my all. The support systems they have in place here are also amazing! So many people that check in on you just to ask how things are going and about your mental, physical and financial wellbeing, which makes you feel like you’re not just a number or a paying student body to satisfy requirements. In my short time here I already feel like I belong here and I know I made the right decision to come here even if I have to commute almost an hour during winter months during rush hour, it’s so worth it. Very thankful for this opportunity to get another chance to fulfill my life goals now that I finally know what I want to do the rest of my life. I honestly cannot say one bad thing about my experience here.
What kind of a school makes a correspondence student studying abroad from an English speaking country get an F1, $10000 bank statement and English proficiency test. Maybe Canada can start asking Americans for English testing
Sketchy school - school computer systems got hacked and took a month to get back - advisors don’t really care about students (lack of information/guidance) doing everything on your own is better. Don’t rely on any of the advisors - gym closes too fast - random school shuttle time/not following the schedule - dinning comm food is the same thing over and over again but overpriced. $12 for salad
Great school! I graduated as a dual major from this institution and have since transferred to University At Buffalo. The professors and staff were great and helpful! Highly recommend beginning the college journey here.
This college misguides students frequently. Be careful what your advisor tells you and they tend to swap your own major without your permission. I’ve lost thousands of dollars due to the unmanaged people that work here. This place has a low tuition cost for a reason. I’m disgusted how they treat students and the sad part is they can’t own up to their own mistakes either. I’d give it zero stars all day if I could.
