What Parents Say
Newark Federal Kids Care receives highly polarized reviews. Six parents praise the dedicated, professional staff, enriching activities, and safe environment where children thrive developmentally. However, three parents report serious concerns including neglect (dirty/hungry children), lost items, inadequate supervision, and unprofessional behavior.
Throughout our child's time here, she has been consistently happy and engaged with her teachers and friends. The teachers are great - very cognizant of milestones and provide an enriching day of activities starting right away when the kids are babies. They helped us as new parents navigate moving to solid foods and potty training, etc. Knowing our child is happy and safe with trustworthy teachers makes being working parents easier. We feel very good about Newark Fed Kids.
I love the care and great experiences my child is getting here. The staff is dedicated and care so much. Leaving my kiddo in daycare was hard- but I'm glad he's learning and thriving here.
As a children librarian, I have been working with the director and teacher for several years. They are always very professional and dedicated. Also a very safe, well protected environment and much positive energy in the classroom due to the director and teachers. I read to the children there and it's always a pleasure to visit. I see how terrific the teachers are with their students.
My baby boy started here back in December 2017 and right away he was more outspoken and interactive at this new daycare, he was not like that at the other daycare he was at prior. He grew so much mentally and was taught by some great care takers. I will forever be grateful for the experience he had here.
This daycare is terrible! One of the worst in Newark. They should be ashamed of themselves for being in the federal building. My child was there for only 1 month and that was because I wanted to give them a chance. Everyday I picked my baby up she was dirty and hungry. Happy, but dirty and hungry. Her first day they took her shoes off and she was wearing brand new white socks which were ruined. They lost a bottle, one of the teachers felt bad and replaced it out of her own pocket and Someone threw her pacifier out as if they had my permission to do so. On her last day, they did not put her wipes in her bag. A brand new pack of wipes that may not have even been used. And her sheet to nap on had food stains. I definitely do not recommend this daycare.
