Leaving 1 star is being very generous. The director took over early/mid 2024 and as time went on the communication fell off, the ratio issues got worse and the director started treating her staff poorly not only behind closed doors but even with parents in the room. We pulled our daughter out as soon as we could! We hated leaving the teachers we cared about deeply and who loved our daughter endlessly. The Director has lied her way through all of the state investigations involving stuff that should have never occurred including an individual sitting in a class with her (friend,partner or whatever they claim to be). The director said it was a volunteer which is a big ole LIE. I am not one to bash a business, but when it comes to my child and others children there is a fine line in the sand. Ratio issues to the director telling staff to “use a damp paper towel if they run out of wipes” are just a few of the issues we experienced. The food portions were so small that the kids are literally starving all day long. The front door is unlocked UNLESS somebody is sitting at the front desk. So absolutely anybody could walk in and cause an issue. That should be a HUGE safety violation with the state, but I guess over the 5+ times they came in during 2024 there was not knowledge or issue with that being a concern. Our daughter came home with a bite and the teachers notified the director who failed to notify us. We were close with the teachers so sent them a message and they told us and the director tried to make a lie to get out of that one as well. This center should be SHUT DOWN and the owner’s should be ashamed that they can’t even hear out their staff and listen to the issues they are trying to tell them. This place should remove “CHRISTIAN” from their name.
My friend had a really bad experience here. Her children were behaving terribly while in a certain class and then when moved to another class, did better. Eventually, she moved her kids to a different day care, at which time the director at New life told her that her children were responsible for 2 teachers quitting and she was planning on making them leave, anyway. At the new daycare, her children have had zero behavior problems and are flourishing in their new environment.
I don't attend church there, but I have my son in their day care program. I love the staff there. They're friendly and inviting. We're about to see hourly updates through an app they have. We also have transparency on our sons good and bad moments. It's also very affordable compared to other similar facilities in the area. 5/5 definitely recommend.
It’s a very special place where you can actually feel the presence of God if your heart is willing to.
