What Parents Say
New Life Child Development Center receives mostly positive reviews, with parents praising teacher quality, child preparation for kindergarten, and a tight-knit community atmosphere. However, some parents have raised concerns about staff turnover, management practices, and curriculum implementation. One parent also objected to the Israeli flag displayed at the entrance.
We've had two kids go through this school. One has just started Kindergarten and her teachers have mentioned how well-prepared she was (both socially and academically). The daycare's teachers DO experience some turnover, but the ones that have left, SHOULD have left...the director runs a tight ship with her staff. I understand why they were either asked to leave or left. There's a looser curriculum in the first 3 years, but that wasn't my main concern at that time in their lives. I never saw it as a negative because, in the twos and threes, they learned to hold pens/colors, write letters, sing songs, and be nice to their friends. The four year old class acts as a "pre-k" style learning environment and was excellent in preparing my oldest for kinder. If you're looking for a family-feel daycare, check out this one. It's smaller, you get to know everyone (the families end up being pretty tight-knit!), and it's a cute environment for the kids.
We've had a fantastic experience with New Life and would recommend it to anyone. Our child has learned so much in the year that she has been there, and she is always excited when I drop her off in the mornings. They are an especially great value at their current price, relative to most other centers in the area. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable and nothing ive seen so far has ever shaken them. When we first started coming here and our daughter would scream and cry at drop-off and refused to nap, they reassured us that they had it all under control and that everything would be fine (and it was). This place really cares about your children, and we are so grateful to have found it.
I withdrew my kid from this school for various reasons and many red flag shortly after she started…There’s no “education” in the curriculum, just watching your kid and keeping him/her inside the 4 walls of the school is the best outcome your could possibly hope for… Also this is supposed to be a daycare at a “Christian” church. Why is the flag of Israel displayed at the main entrance of the school? Israel has no relation to Christ and his teachings, quite the opposite actually, they prosecuted him and deny his holiness awaiting the real messiah…So I’m not sure why they think it’s an appropriate choice for a flag the size of the American flag at the main entrance…
Pros The children are extremely smart and catch on to learning things quickly. The children were very loving. Cons Getting paid once a month. The director seemed to not want the employees to communicate with each other. The director (who has no experience in the classroom) gave me a curriculum without explaining what it was about. There was a special needs kid who was a big distraction(and extremely violent towards me, the other teachers and the kids) to the class. Parents were complaining about the kid everyday. Director failed to remove the violent kid from school (all about profit). Director seemed very lazy. High turnover rate. Advice to Management Kids need consistency. Stop hiring and firing so many teachers. Stop only caring about money. Any child with special needs should be a school that caters to SPECIAL NEEDS ONLY.
Wonderful, nurturing, professional staff. My grandson was in excellent care. Highly recommend.
