What Parents Say

This is THE BEST daycare I have ever sent my kids to. After an awful experience at Teaching Learing Caring Childcare Center I was so scared my son would get kicked out of this daycare because he was a biter when he started going here. Luckily at New Horizons the staff ACTUALLY watch the kids and pay attention to them. They broke my son's biting habit and started teaching him sign language which inspired me to keep teaching him more ASL. He now knows 60+ words in American Sign Language. My 3 year old son and 2 year old daughter have been going here for 2 years and in that time we have had zero problems. The staff are kind and professional. They truly love our kids. Both my children are potty trained and as a single mother I gotta say this is the best place for your children. At TLC my kids would always cry when I would drop them off and be so relieved when I would come get them they would also get sent home in dirty clothes. At New Horizons they are happy to see their teachers and sometimes it takes me a while to get them out the door when I pick them up. I highly HIGHLY recommend New Horizons Child Development Center.
This is the best daycare in Frankfort, would highly recommend to any parent looking for childcare!
New Horizons will always be on our kid's mental map of Frankfort as "my school," even years after they've moved on to kindergarten. In the 4 years we've had kids there, from infant to pre-K, we've felt they were in good hands. The variety of activities that get kids out into Frankfort for walks, the farmer's market, history museum, and more have enriched our family times at these same places. New Horizons' emphasis on prosocial development leading up to kindergarten makes all the difference when kids move on to grade school. The teachers use routine, classroom structures and lesson plans to to give kids content knowledge they'll need for kindergarten, while offering periods of free choice, play and investigation. The physical space is organized in kid-centered ways, and changes periodically to allow new discoveries. The teachers also use restorative methods that allow practice in creative problem solving and making things right when kids have disagreements. Finally, they provided our kids with support when they were struggling with specific behaviors like finishing lunch, and challenged them when they showed interest in working ahead on writing and spelling. As a working parent you always want to know your child is thriving in the childcare situation you've chosen, and it makes all the difference when you drop them off and they are excited to be there, excited to see you again abd show you what they've learned. We have loved our time at this school!
