New Horizon Academy

I can’t express enough how happy we are at NHA Edina! My son has been attending for 4 months now in the infant program and he absolutely adores his teachers. Staff are always very welcoming at drop off and pick up times and they love telling me all about his day. They use an app where I get updates on meals, naps, diapers, activities, photos and staff messaging which is helpful! I would highly recommend NHA!

Our little guy started in the Infant Room earlier this summer. Like most parents, we were nervous about starting daycare, but Abby, Morgan, and the rest of the infant room staff quickly put all our worries at ease. They’re so kind and nurturing, and they create such a warm, welcoming environment for the babies. Our son is smiling in every photo they send throughout the day, and it’s obvious how much he loves his teachers! If our son can’t be home with us during the workday, we’re so grateful he gets to spend his days at New Horizon in Edina.

This daycare has been life changing! My 8 month old has only been going here for 1 week and has shown significant changes & growth than she’s had at her previous daycare where she went for a month. She is such a happier baby now! Very professional, clean, friendly environment. They engage and truly bond with the children. I also love that as soon as you walk in the building, there is a screen that shows every room so the kids & teacher aids are being watched and monitored on camera. That is so reassuring, I think every daycare should have. I never realized how much peace you have knowing your baby is safe, happy and well taken care of.

We're grateful to be part of the New Horizons Edina location. While we have experienced our fair share of (to be expected in this environment) staffing changes, the open communication and leadership shown from the current Director, Abby, and the Assistant Director, Morgan, has been above and beyond the typical childcare center experience. Our son is enjoying his time, learning, and growing in so many ways. The care that Abby puts into hiring classroom staff is not unnoticed, and makes a BIG difference for families with kiddos that require a little extra attention and care.

Our two sons (2.5 and 1 yr) have been going here since they were a few months old. The staff is fabulous - always updating us throughout the day on meals, bathroom breaks, activities and we receive many pictures of our boys having the absolute best time playing with their friends. I am always shocked at how much they are learning - everyday coming home with some type of new skill: sign language, songs, increase in the areas of literacy, counting, social emotional regulation and fine and gross motor skills. The children have lots of outdoor time with the many playgrounds at this locations, the infants go on walks and the curriculum is engaging and geared to their unique needs and developmental stage. The communication with the staff is phenomenal; always letting us know in a timely manner if our boys need more diapers, change of clothes or formula. They help teach them basic daily hygiene practices including brushing their teeth daily, washing hands and help with cleaning up. The director Abby and assistant director Morgan are both so lovely and committed to helping our children grown and learn. I couldn't recommend this location enough for your children's growing, emotional and academic needs!
