We recently started our daughter at New Day School and couldn't be more pleased. The setting is beautiful and sustainable built with permaculture principles in mind. The staff and teachers are kind, grounded, and spiritually generous stewards of the children's education and personhood. The heart of the school is a rich community of parents and culture of warmth that celebrates each child's unique being, while teaching them about ethical interdependency. Vital, foundational medicine for our children in these times. We love New Day School!
So warm, loving, nurturing, beautiful. I am writing this review not as a parent but as an adult who had gone to this preschool as a child and I remember this school being an integral part of who I am and the amazing childhood memories I have still to this day. I will have children of my own within the next decade and I will 100% share this precious place with them too.
We had a wonderful experience sending our kiddo to school here. Unlike the review posted by the person who interviewed but never actually worked or sent a kiddo there, I actually felt the food focus at this school was one of the highlights. They prepare healthy and delicious food daily, and children are encouraged to eat as much as they want. My son enjoyed lentils, cauliflower, and many other things I could never get him to eat at home. The school radiates with love and joy, thanks to the longtime dedication of Didi, Atandra, and Jaya Giita, along with other wonderful staff. No one asked me to write this review, I just felt compelled to share my experience as a parent whose kiddo attended for two years, recently.
Nurturing environment for kids to explore and grow. Outdoor play area is phenomenal and an emphasis on playing outside year-round is also a plus.
