Neighborhood Academy

google recommendation December 11th 2013 To whom it may concern, Neighborhood academy is a wonderful preschool and kinder-garden located in Lubbock, Texas. The daycare has amazing owners and managers, successful by treating kids, parents and employees in a kind, caring as well as professional manner. Both my kids aged 2 and 5 happily attend full time for a year and a half. They enjoy the Montessori education, school activities and the caring environment. As they develop and thrive in a warm, nurturing atmosphere, both me and my husband are very pleased with the teachers, staff and the daycare organization and management. Our boys have attended Neighborhood Academy since they were 8 weeks old. Our oldest (6 years old and now in first grade in Frenship ISD) loved it there and still talls about his "little kid school". He was well prepared for the transition to public school and is going strong there! Our youngest (2 years old and still at Neighborhood Academy) adores his class and is always happy to go to "his school". The Montessori curriculum used at Neighborhood makes learning fun and engaging for kids of all ages. I give it part of the credit for the love of learning already possessed by both pf my boys. The management (owners) and teachers are all hands on day-to-day, and the effort they all put forth to not only watch the kids, but to love them and help them learn and grow is very evident!

I've had my daughter in this school since February and I absolutely love it! The teachers are warm and inviting. My daughter has learned so much there and she is only a year and a half. They are very organized and have the kids on a curriculum all day. She has learned sign language, songs, how to use a fork and spoon and so much more. The owners know every parents name, which makes you feel like your kid is not getting ignored. I am so happy with this school!!

My oldest son is in 2nd grade now. He started daycare at 8 weeks old at Neighborhood Academy. Before we enrolled him at Neighborhood we looked tirelessly at all of the options for daycares in the Lubbock area. It is your kids well being you are putting in the life of a stranger. That is something no parent should take lightly. After weeks and perhaps months of looking we decided on Neighborhood. Our first kid’s experience was so outstanding that we enrolled our 2nd son there. Our 2nd son is now 2 years old and attends Neighborhood as well, so we have had 1 if not both of our kids enrolled at Neighborhood for over 6 years now. We have even moved further away since we first enrolled our oldest son there, but we are still willing to drive a longer distance to take our kid to a great daycare. You cannot go wrong with Neighborhood Academy. Will and Pam care for your kids just like they would their own.

My daughter was born early. She started Neighborhood Academy when she was 14 months old and with the help of her great teachers she finally started walking around 16 months. She has learned so much including how to receive love and kindness from her teachers. Now at the age of 2 1/2 she has learned songs, can count to 10, knows all her colors and shapes and can take instruction from an adult other than me. We love the bond between us and the teachers and I know she is well taken care of.
