What Parents Say
Naperville Montessori School receives mostly positive feedback with parents praising the authentic Montessori approach, caring staff, and nurturing environment. However, one parent reported a negative experience with a specific teacher regarding handling of behavioral concerns and age-appropriate expectations. Leadership responsiveness to concerns appears inconsistent based on parent feedback.
I have visited and observed at many Montessori preschools over my 28 years of teaching Montessori. I found Montessori of Naperville in June of this year when I was looking for a toddler program for my grandson who just turned 2. I knew from the moment I met the staff and the administrators that this was a SPECIAL school. They provided a safe and secure environment coupled with the most caring and nurturing teachers. Everyday they provided me with feedback on my grandsons day. I was so fortunate to have found a place that is true Montessori. I'm writing this because I want others to come and observe their wonderful program. You won't be disappointed. A big thank you to Denise Testin who runs an excellent school and takes the time to know each and every child.
My son is currently attending the school and we're more than satisfied! He has been in toddler's program and now is on Pre-School program. Teachers are loving and patient, always open for parents and doubts, direction is organised and is always available for questions, doubts and even to answer how's my kid's day going. Food is fresh and cooked daily on premises, always balanced and really healthy (fresh!!!). I recommend the school for all my friends and will certainly enroll my daughter when she turns 2 years old.
Our child was in Ms. Sabera's class in 2019 when we had a great experience until Covid happened, and we had to pull him out.. We decided to re-enroll him in March, two months after ee welcomed his baby brother. However, we had the worst experience at the Naperville Montessori with their teacher Mani Gantla. After one week of having my four year old in my class, she called us to let us know that our child needs behavioral therapy, which left me feeling concerned, until my child started showing anxiety around zipping his jacket and washing his hands. On probing him, he told me that his teacher would get mad at him for not being able to zip his jacket up- a skill that even 6 year Olds sometimes struggle with. Keep in mind that my child had been home for a year and social distancing. He was even threatened in Hindi since we are bilingual. When we brought up our concerns with the administration, they were dismissive at best. I'm just writing this as a cautionary tale for those of you who might be considering this school. Please keep your eyes and ears open and believe your child if they tell you anything concerning. The least you expect from a montessori school is them adapting to the child's needs and some compassion, which we sadly did not receive from their end.
My daughter goes here and adapted really well to the structure of the environment. She has so many new friends and feels really confident with her teachers.
Awesome teachers and environmen
