What Parents Say
This appears to be a hospital (St. Vincent's Medical Center in Portland), not a daycare center. The reviews provided are for hospital departments including labor & delivery, cardiac care, and orthopedic surgery, not childcare services.
My sister delivered her baby here today after spending three days in the hospital, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care she received. The doctors and midwives were absolutely wonderful—supportive, patient, and very transparent throughout the entire process, which made my sister feel comfortable and confident. Even though labor took time, the staff never rushed her and encouraged her every step of the way. Their calm and compassionate approach made a huge difference. Today, our little angel arrived safely, and we are beyond happy. I truly appreciate the care provided and would definitely recommend this hospital to others.
I had a scheduled ECV today with st Vincents L&D team. Dr Payne was the one who conducted this procedure. It was not only extremely successful but every step of the way, I had everything explained to me in full detail as well as any risks or complications that may occur. My baby was breeched at 37 weeks, and Dr Payne managed to fully flip my baby in the proper head down position at exactly 38 weeks today. For me, there was zero pain, not even a little discomfort. Everything was relaxed, and properly planned. Sarah A, my nurse during this time was extremely helpful. She put an IV in my hand for some fluids, and not only did I not feel any irritation like I did with all my other IV's put in at different hospitals, but she was very sweet and made sure I wasn't uncomfortable or left in the dark over any information. This EVC was my last hope in avoiding a C-section, and although there's a 3-5% chance my baby will breech herself again, I'm hopeful that will not happen, and overall, this was the best decision I could've made. You can definitely trust labor and delivery at this hospital.
This is for the nursing staff in the Heart Rhythm Clinic. I had a procedure yesterday and from the moment I arrive at check in, to the pro-op prep, the procedure staff, and my post-op staff it was a solid 5/5. I have worked with youth and families for 35 years in the juvenile justice system. I have learned to always make it my goal so that every interaction leaves my clients feeling like they were my priority, despite seeing or speaking to many people every day. This is exactly how this nursing staff made me feel. I felt important and cared for from start to finish. Katie and Binh who got me prepped. The procedure room had a lost of people in it before they knocked me out, but I believe I met an Oliver and Courteney. There were several others. I never felt nervous thanks to them. Jason took care of me as I recovered. Outstanding all around. Dr. Rajabali and Dr. Schulman were fantastic, as well. What a great team. Thank you!
The labor and delivery nurses I had were amazing and gentle/sweet. Mary, the OB who delivered my baby was absolutely amazing. HOWEVER, the post partum unit was atrocious. The nurses were the some of the rudest people I’ve ever met except for ONE night nurse. The lactation consultants are a joke and so rude. We got discharged and they told us since we had a convertible car seat that they’d come look at it, in our car to make sure it was good. Apparently that was false and they got extremely mad at us for going to our car like we were told? So unorganized. What was supposed to be a great and special experience ended up being terrible due to this unit. Fix it.
In August I had a pinched nerve in my back that required immediate attention and I was shoved out the ER door. However your cardiac department was rated well and from the moment I walked in ER was streamlined and had the most attentive hospital experienced one could hope for. A local ambulance might not take me up to St Vincent's, but if I can get in a car that's where I'm going. Exceptional
