My Childcare Academy

MCA is the absolute best! My two kiddos have been going for several years now. First, here’s what I noticed during my tour that helped me decide on MCA. When walking through, I noticed how clean and in shape everything was. The rooms didn’t smell unless a baby was actively being changed. The staff cleans all through the day. Second, they were getting a food delivery and it was fresh fruits and veggies, not cans. The kitchen isn’t just staff running in to reheat lunch, it’s specific kitchen staff preparing full meals for lunch and snacks. My kids have tried a variety of foods and sometimes they do theme days where they prep food and teach kids about different countries. The other thing I noticed before and still see to this day is how much the staff genuinely care for these kids. My kids have all had multiple favorite teachers who get huge hugs and excitement from my kids. They’re also turning over their toys, books, and materials to keep things fresh for the kids. No shabby toys or furniture. Classrooms regularly getting new items or shifting items from another class so they don’t get bored. I could go on all day but It’s a great facility and my kids have made lifelong friends from being at MCA.

My kids have been apart of My Childcare Academy for three years now, and it has been the best experience for all of us. I even put my kids in the local charter school to keep them at MCA, the van drop off and pick ups to and from the charter school is one of the best things offered! The teachers all care and love these kids so much, and you can see it when you walk through the halls and hear them all saying hello and goodbye and your kids are hugging everyone they pass. My kids have learned so much, my son is the top of his class and I relate that to the formative years he had with early education at MCA. You join MCA to become part of a family, and you feel it every single day.

MCA has been a second home for our three kids going on 4 years now. The teachers and staff feel like family to us. Our kids are happy, healthy, and well-adapted thanks to the amazing people and curriculum of MCA. Reasons we chose and love MCA: - The teachers and administrators communicate openly and often. The Brightwheel app keeps both parents informed and updated an everything that’s happening with our children. - Kids get outdoor time each day in a fun and safe place. They are sunscreened in the summer and have water day. Just send a suit and towel and the teachers orchestrate a summer water party! - The kitchen staff are amazing and prepare a variety of nutritious food. Snacks are healthful; processed and sugary foods only served for special occasions. - Play is a huge focus. The teachers keep the kids engaged in all sort of learning activities (see photos), yet create plenty of time for free play. - The Preschool and Pre-K classes engage kids in age appropriate activities that also prepare them extremely well for kindergarten. Our child’s transition to kindergarten this year was seamless, especially since MCA transports our child to and from the elementary school. - MCA fosters a great community with holiday parties and activities for the families to interact together and get to know the teachers and staff better. Some awesome activities they do: summer carnival party, Trunk or Treat, grandparents day, Thanksgiving Dinner themed lunch for parents to eat with their kids at the center, Preschool/Pre-K graduation, Santa Clause visit. - Extracurriculars are amazing. Gymnastics next door at Olympus - the admin takes the kids to/from their 1 hour gym time each week. Cooking class and a special art class offered once a month. Date night. Soccer Shots. Piano lessons. You can provide your kids an introduction and exposure to a variety of opt-in activities. - Consistent Care. MCA’s operating hours and teacher management gives us the peace of mind that we’ll always have care available for us. No nightmares of daycare cancelling care due to teachers being out. MCA manages this well. - Qualified staff and professional care. The staff are great with kids and also excellent in working with the parents. Shana, Melonyi, and Darby do an incredible job to train their staff and help parents with all administrative items.

My children have been going to My Childcare Academy since my daughter and son were both 1 (She is now 4 1/2 and he is 2). We love how responsive they are to any needs we have or our kids have. My daughter has loved all of her teachers, and when she has moved classes each year, she now goes at the end of the day to hug all of her teacher friends. When we are on vacation she wanted to get gifts for her teachers and would tell us how much she missed them. We love the app that they use, it provides updates on food, activities, naps, diaper changes, and a ton of picture are sent throughout the day which provides peace of mind! The food and snacks they provide for the kids are also healthy and nutritious which is amazing! They also have a ton of programs so our daughter is able to go to at a nearby facility during the daycare hours. They also provide monthly newsletters of what will be happening at MCA, and the “school pictures” the kids get taken twice a year is also another bonus. Our daughter was so easy to potty train thanks to them! The art projects they send home are also so adorable and are plastered all over our wall because our kids love them. We would highly recommend this facility to anyone who has kids, from infant to toddlers to pre-K ages. Huge shout out to their teachers Ari, Riley, Libby, Katie, Tori, Nyewka, Lynn, Macey and many more who are all amazing!! Some of the teacher and helpers do rotate but they all really get to know all of the kids and are so loving, caring and patient. Shana, Melonyi and Darby do great at managing the facility and are also able and so willing to step in at a moments notice and help when the kids are having a tough moment (as kids do).

I could not say enough good things about My Childcare Academy. I have had my two children there for over four years. The teachers truly love and care about my kids. My kids have loved their teachers, and they have become my friends as well. The classes provide a good balance of structured activities and free play. Shana is amazing; she is very communicative and organized, you can tell her goal is to provide a beautiful, caring, and fun environment for children to explore and grow. I love how the kids are always engaged in different crafts, units, and projects. I also love how they provide homemade food which is somehow nutritious, delicious, and kid-friendly all at the same time. The teachers are very accommodating; when my daughter was in the baby room they were so great about breastmilk and cloth diapers, and they were very supportive as we went through the potty-training stage. A few years ago we experienced a family emergency, and I will never forget how kind and sensitive the teachers and staff were about the situation. MCA has become an important part of our child-rearing village and I am very lucky I was able to find them. Finding quality childcare is not easy, but you will not be disappointed with My Childcare Academy.
