I would like to let everyone know how poorly my sister was treated at the ER at munsun hospital on 12/24/25. This was the worst experience we have had there. To start out the wait to be seen is ridiculous. When she did get taken back she was in excruciating pain being she just had her toes amputated and had just fallen on them, hence why she was at the ER. So when she got in to a room she was crying and screaming in pain and nurse Lyndsey comes in and tells her she needs to quiet down because there are other patients and she needs to be respectful. So my sister said a few choice words to her which Lyndsey in turn calls security on her because she did not like what my sister had to say to her. Then thy threaten to throw her out of the ER if she did not settle down. Such compassion from these individuals. So I call to speak to the nurse in charge but never get a call back. Then we ask to speak to a patient advocate and was put of and just given a card. I then asked to speak to the charge nurse 2 more times and that said charge nurse never came. This hole time my sister has been in excruciating pain with no pain med still. Then I try to get my sister some help and once again nurse Lindsey and I have words and calls security on me. Please don't piss her off because compassion was never taught to nurse Lindsey in nursing school. So I refuse to leave since I am there for my sister and was not about to leave her. So I'm sure you can guess what happened next? Yup she had them call the police. Needless to say I was escorted out and my sister was so afraid of being left there alone with the lack of treatment and horrible treatment from the staff that she checked herself out and came home with me. This place is a sad disappointment in all aspects of health care. What is even sadder is they are the only hospitals around. May God be with anyone who has to go to munson.😡

It was a long wait in the E.R. but unavoidable. Staff did their best to move it along. Inpatient experience was that the day nursing staff and all aides were incredible. The night nurse was quite skilled and helpful; however inappropriate by screaming at me three times. Quite frightening by feeling trapped by either a bipolar or psycho type individual. Needs counseling. Being in isolation meant no cleaning staff except for the floors being mopped once in the three days. The disease filled garbage reeked after most of it being left until the last day. Of course the staff may have been very short. It is sometimes difficult to see what happens behind the scenes.

I came in to ER after a fall. I am on blood thinners so it was important to be safe. They did lots of tests before deciding to admit me the next morning. We asked if I could be released and were told I needed to be monitored for 24 hours, but the overnight ER stay didn’t count. We had to sign an AMA form in order to have a release date that worked for transportation home for me. The neurologist and PT both agreed I was fine to go home, however the attending refused to release me. Now we may be faced with extra expenses if insurance refuses to cover our bills. There were times when it was over an hour before anyone checked in on me while I was in the ER, so I am confused at what was meant by them saying they needed to monitor me for 24 hours for safety. Plus I had asked for a Tylenol and it took several hours before anyone could approve it for my headache.

I was admitted to MMC for sepsis Dec 2024 and my daughter was admitted to the NICU August 2025 Both times we entered through the ER. The ER staff were kind, friendly and professional. Katie was very helpful and ready to defend my privacy. Melissa is an angel and contributed to keeping me from developing ppd. The team in the OR and post op(Cynthia) with Dr. Zuckerman were super friendly and compassionate. The various nurses and CNAs in the B3 Surgical Unit (Julie, Erin, Kelly, Jordan, Kay, Jeanette) were all very kind and compassionate as well. Kelly was a delight to talk to and Erin deserves a raise. The NICU nurses and doctor (Amber, Amanda, Cheryl, Dr Alred, Melody, Alicia, Becky, Maggie, Maddie and I never caught her name but the friendly nurse with curly hair and glasses) are wonderful caring angels and incredibly supportive. Amber and Amanda were assigned to my daughter twice and I’m very grateful to have had them during a scary and uncertain time. They were the other half of a wonderful experience at MMC labor day weekend and with their support and kindness I thankfully did not develop ppd. I would recommend going to MMC to anyone who wishes to be treated with a high level of care and compassion. Please be patient with these amazing people. They are burnt out, tired, doing their best and are committed to helping you. It is not their fault they are understaffed and equipment is not properly stocked. Treat them with kindness and respect.

My godfather has been in and out of MMC 3 times in the past year for various surgeries and ailments. As his POA, I've found the staff to be very helpful and communicative with me on his diagnoses, treatment plans, next steps, etc. The hospital is convenient, clean, and easy to navigate once inside.
