What Parents Say
This listing appears to be a ski resort rather than a daycare center. The reviews describe Mt. Abram as a small, family-friendly ski mountain in Greenwood, Maine with excellent value pricing, well-maintained trails, short lift lines, and friendly staff. Parents praise the welcoming atmosphere, quality instruction, and cozy lodge experience.
Haven't been skiing in forever, so I was horrible, but conditions were great! Pricing is a good value, $42 for full day. The bunny hill and magic carpet are only $10, I believe. You can get your rentals ahead of time online which is helpful. We used the smaller lodge so I can't speak to the main lodge, but the smaller one was cozy and clean. With each ride, attendants at the magic carpet were very encouraging (I haven't skied in 25 years). What was very impressive, is later the attendant noticed me sitting at the lodge and gave me a, "job well done!" when he had no reason to so. Get there early for parking; when we left, there were cards parked on the side of the road waaaaaay down.
First time there. I arrived much later in the day. Around 12:30. Getting my rental gear was no wait time at all. I hadn't skiied in 20+ years so I did the magic carpet a few times to warm up. All the workers were very nice and actually seemed like they enjoyed their jobs! The trails were icy. That's my only complaint. I was surprised since it had snowed the night before.
Nice area! We’re staying at an Airbnb just up the road so I biked down to check it out. It was $15 to take the climbing trail with no lift. I took Imu’s climb up. I was up to the top and back down in about 30 mins but the climb was a nice cardio push. Took whiplash down which was fun. Climb up is a little rocky and rooty / medium tech. Overall fun rip
So many fun jumps. For all ski levels. Really fun. Lodge is so campy. Views were bonkers. I feel like I really improved my confidence as a new skiier here. Glad its on the indy. Even without you literally cannot beat those prices.
This is a hidden gem! The trail variety may not be as much as other larger resorts; however, ticket prices are far less expensive, trails are extremely well maintained, lift line wait times are very short, and everyone there was super friendly. I went on a beautiful Saturday after 6" inches of fresh powder fell overnight and the temps were 15F-20F...very little to no congestion on the trails. We skied backs and blues. Fun mountain!
