What Parents Say
Mrs. Irene's Child Care and Preschool receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents, with children showing significant developmental progress and emotional growth. Parents consistently praise the caring, attentive staff and note their children are happy and well-cared for, with one recent reviewer mentioning initial concerns that were quickly resolved.
My niece and nephew attended this Daycare, and the director is horrible. I do not recommend this Daycare to no one not even my worst enemy. The staff is rude along with the director. I feel the director should not be allowed to be in childcare business. She has a short temper and has no remorse with children with disabilities. This daycare should close its doors. I feel the state should go in and do a Fairwell inspection. I feel sorry for any parent that deals with this director and their staff. They are no aware what happens behind closed doors.
My son did not get to complete one full week before the director tried to diagnose my child with ADHD at the age of 4! She had the nerve to tell me my child had some serious psychological issues. If your child has any type of disability this place is NOT for you! Please take these reviews into serious consideration before placing your child here! I would like to update my review. My son is now 10. A straight A student and is always complimented on how well behaved he is! It is so important to read these reviews! This daycare is horrible and the director has absolutely no business in child care!
My kid is a different person after attending here in the best way possible. I had him out an in-home daycare he was shy and reserved would not leave me to go play. We started going to Mrs. Irene’s you will now leave me to go play he knows his letters he can count to 30 he knows his shapes in his colors and this is all thanks to his wonderful teachers at Mrs. Irene’s. They have also been great at helping potty train him he’s only two and he loves going to school.
My child was there for 2 years and my older child as well in the summers. My youngest started tantrums like most 2-and-a-half year old's do, and they would remove him from the classroom and make him sit in the front office for up to an hour while he cried or give him a toy car if he didn't want to take a nap and hope for the best. We found at home, if you work with him and really communicate with him, the fits stop immediately. Which is something that Mrs. Irene and her staff had no patience for. He was never violent and never bit any kids to my knowledge. But that didn't matter, Mrs. Irene decided to give me me a week to find my child a new daycare. It was for the best, his new care provider is amazing. The fits are almost non existent now! This was just a PHASE like most kids go through; especially since he's been attending there 2 years with no behavior incidents prior to this. If you have an older child, be prepared to deal with injuries on a daily basis. When I would pick up my 6 year old it would be chaos. Kids running everywhere or wrestling with each other. My oldest had got a small cut above his eyebrow when a kid was swinging a toy around and his teacher new nothing about it. One day he said he got kicked in the stomach. I saw some of these other violent kids myself when I walked in to see this one boy shove another boy with down syndrome. The poor guys head made a loud thump on the ground and he just laid there for a minute with a pained expression on his face. Meanwhile their teacher was distracted by a ton of other kids around her and didn't see any of this. Don't bring your child here, young or an older age. There are too many kids for the teachers to properly watch and they have no patience to deal with any child that may need some extra guidance.
I used to attend this place. I went here for a few years, I was the oldest kid there for the last 1 and a half years there. I don’t really have any experience with the preschool/baby area but any of the areas where it was just baby daycare was nice. (Pretty hard to mess that up). The teachers there are very nice, Mrs. Irene doesn’t seem the jolliest person I’ve ever met though. (Do they read these???). My only complaint is that it’s pretty loud but that’s just what happens at day cares a guess, noise isn’t getting any better at other daycares. I would wear earplugs though (if you work here you know who I am :). If you work here say hi to Mrs Sally, Mrs Amanda, Mrs Kiesha (forgot how to spell it), the lady who raises the flags every morning, and the lady with the ponytail.) Food there is great and the kids get plenty outside time, sometimes they don’t let you out if it rained the night before, or the temperatures were below 50ish degrees. I’ll probably update this review in the future, bye!
