Moorpark College Child Development Center

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Moorpark College Child Development Center. It was truly an exceptional experience for my daughter and our family. The environment is nurturing, play-based, and incredibly well-rounded. The curriculum thoughtfully balances learning and exploration, allowing children to grow at their own pace through activities like cooking, yoga, music, and lots of free play. The teachers and staff foster such a supportive, loving atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. My daughter genuinely loved going to school each day, and as a parent, there’s nothing more comforting than knowing your child is happy, engaged, and thriving. This program has not only positively shaped my daughter's early years, but it also inspired me personally to pursue a path in early childhood education. I am so grateful for the impact this school has had on both of us. I wholeheartedly recommend the Moorpark College Child Development Center to any family looking for a beautiful, child-centered preschool experience.

I'm so thankful to have had the Moorpark child development center for my littles. I can't praise it enough. Johanna runs the center and is one of the most kind, warm people I've ever known. My children were in the "Jacaranda room" with Melanie, Tori and great student teachers that are enthusiastic about preschool. Experienced mothers and teachers, they are clearly devoted to the children. It's a play based classroom with several stations set up daily for sensory activities, imaginative play, art, etc. The teachers are always near to assist the children in navigating relationships with one another. Just wonderful.

Although I came here as a student observer, not a parent dropping off their child, I observed nothing but love and care from these 'teachers' to the kids. The school has a very open approach with the children preferring to listen rather then dictate. Check the school out, you won't be disspointed. All of the teachers at the center are sweeter then honey, but personally for me, learning from teacher Shannon was a privilege.
