Montessori Stars is a fantastic preschool! When our daughter first enrolled, she was quite shy and timid. Two years later, she is proud, confident, comfortable, and ready to take on Kindegarten. At Montessori Stars, she grew in so many different ways and even made some good friends along the way. All of the teachers at Montessori Stars are experienced educators who know how to balance fun and discipline. We appreciated the well-thought structure, lesson plans, and variety of weekly themes. We enjoyed reading their newsletters, being able to discuss our child's development with the teachers, going to field trips and events, and just watching all of the children bond and grow up together. There is definitely a sense of family between all of the students and teachers, and that comes from how much the teachers care about the kids. Each child is given the attention that they need for their individual personality. We would absolutely recommend Montessori Stars for any child that wants to go to a great preschool. We could not have been any happier with our experience there.
We absolutely love Montessori Stars! Both of my daughters attended this school and had really shown growth socially and academically. They had a difficult time in their previous preschool, which was overcrowded and busy. Here, the teachers seemed to cater to each child as an individual. They encourage independence while at the same time allowing them to interact with children from different age groups. Their lesson plans cover a variety of areas from art, science, music, reading/writing and math. They even have the option to take extra programs focusing on language and art. The playground is perfect, with a good amount of shade for the kids. And the teachers are wonderful! They are enthusiastic and caring! Both my daughters have been able to enter Kindergarten with confidence. I highly recommend Montessori Stars!
What a wonderful little school. We transferred our son from another school to Montessori Stars which was the best decision we made. He loved his class, teachers and thrived at Montessori Stars. As a parent, dropping off my son at school felt like I was dropping him off at a family members home. The teachers at Montessori Stars are simply the Best! If you're searching for a preschool, as a parent of two and educator at a 6-12th independent school in LA, I wholeheartedly recommend Montessori Stars Preschool in Newbury Park. My son was 3.7 years when we pulled him out of another childcare 'preschool' program, it was just not the best fit for him or our family. Our son has flourished at Montessori Stars: socially, emotionally, and academically with growing confidence and curiosity about learning that I hope he will always have with him! Montessori Stars was nurturing, structured, and challenged him appropriately. He also took additional classes such as art and Spanish. He's now 5 and has graduated Montessori Stars and will be attending Maple School this fall. This summer he had his Kindergarten assessment. I am an educator, so I am not all about grades, but place more emphasis on attitude and effective effort when it comes to learning! However, the teacher asked me after his independent assessment where he went to preschool because he scored 100% surpassing every benchmark. What you don't know is that this little boy did not talk until 2 1/2 -3 years old after speech and language therapy, he is sensitive and tender, too. For many years I was worried about a May baby being to young for Kindergarten in the fall, but I guess he proved me wrong. I can't help but contribute his success and readiness for Kindergarten due to Montessori Stars in Newbury Park.
