Our family has been with Montessori of Greenwich Bay for several years now and we couldn’t be happier! Our kids have learned so much during their time at MGB, but more importantly they have been cared for by some of the most loving, kind & thoughtful teachers. The head of the school has become a friend and has seen our oldest off to Kindergarten last year. I feel comfortable & safe dropping my little ones at the school each morning and I know they’ll learn, have fun, make friends & be supported.
Our family has had two children at Montessori of Greenwich Bay for over two years, and we couldn’t be happier. Lynn is incredible, as is her entire team and the teachers. The Montessori approach has been truly transformative for our children and our family, and we’re consistently impressed by the care, thoughtfulness, and quality of the program. We live in Coventry and happily commute over two hours each day because this experience is that valuable to us. We’re incredibly grateful to have such an exceptional program so close to home and highly recommend it to any family considering Montessori.
Our two daughters thrived at Montessori of Greenwich Bay from ages 3–6, including kindergarten during the end of the COVID pandemic. Lynne and the entire team truly care about each child, and we’re so grateful for both the education and the strong community we found there—we’re still close with many of the families we met. After visiting several local preschools, MGB stood out immediately for its calm, orderly environment and exceptional staff. Even years later, our girls still carry the Montessori Way with them. Highly recommend.
Very concerning to know my child was pushed twice here by a teacher and I was never informed. Sometimes I would pick him up and his diapers would be full to the point where he always had rashes. Everytime my child was hit or bitten there was no clear reason. The teachers talk to you like they look down on you and i’ve walked by on a teacher raising their voice and speaking to children rudely saying things like “How would you feel if i did that to you” (Things like that) I feel like I have reached out to the owner about her employees being on their phones and she completely ignored it.
I hands down love this school! Both my daughters have truly enjoyed the MGB experience. The curriculum is strongly Montessori and also includes music, art, Spanish, piano & yoga. Teachers strive to help each individual child and their learning. I love the weekly e-update of what girls are doing in school with a picture collage included. The parent conferences include a portfolio of work with a detailed assessment/ learning standards and individual comments on each category so I can see her gains and struggles. In addition to the learning aspects, our family really needed the school's flexible drop-off/pick-up times. Food choice was also a big selling point for us. The snacks are always healthy or something I would choose (no goldfish like other places!) My daughters enjoy "mindful tasting" and actually tries new foods in front of her classmates! We also love that kids can have food microwaved to be warm. Overall, the staff is caring, the curriculum is rigorous and after my initial visit - I know that's the place I myself would want to spend my day!
