MLC is a wonderful preschool with amazing teachers and a great community. We could not have asked for a better preschool experience. Our daughter was excited to be there every day and her time there helped her become a confident and independent little person.
My oldest child has just wrapped up 4 years at MLC and is heading to kindergarten this fall. I'm so grateful for the many ways she was surrounded by love and nurture at MLC, creating an atmosphere for her to love learning. I'm also quite optimistic about the current administration's organizational agility and the direction that MLC is heading. I'm looking forward to my youngest beginning at MLC this fall!
Our child went here for one year and it was a wonderful experience! He learned to read and the care that we were given by both the staff and the teachers was awesome. Our child really blossomed and learned so much about community and friendship. They are building a beautiful community for other families here. They supported our family and welcomed us with open arms. I love how it is tucked into a beautiful little neighborhood. Such a sweet little spot!
MLC is a sweet preschool with a dedicated and hardworking teaching team but unfortunately poor leadership really colored my family’s experience there. You can expect poor, intermittent communication (don’t expect a reply to emails or phone calls), lack of consistent policies related to weather, enrollment or closures, and a culture that feels more like a family (a dysfunctional one at that) than a school. My son’s classroom experience at MLC was positive overall but, as a parent, the poor communication, unpredictable schedule and overall lack of professionalism from the administrative team made for a negative experience. I know there aren’t many choices for childcare in Asheville but, when given the choice, we were so happy to find a more reliable, consistent and drama-free alternative.
My son has been attending MLC for a couple of months now and he has blossomed! I’m so proud of how much he is absorbing and learning! He’s so much more independent, and talking so well now! The directors are amazing and his teachers are fantastic! The communication is Great!! I’m excited for my middle child to attend next fall!
