What Parents Say
Montessori American School receives predominantly positive reviews praising the teaching staff as caring, intentional, and supportive of child development. Parents report noticeable improvements in their children's vocabulary, confidence, and academic growth. One parent had concerns about classroom behavior management and teacher responsiveness to conflicts during a tour.
The teachers are all amazing, supportive, understanding, and deeply intentional in how they work with the kids, helping them develop the skills they’ll need for elementary school, middle school, high school, and eventually college. What stands out most is how they meet each child with patience and belief, recognizing that every child is learning and growing. Each day begins with a warm, friendly good morning and ends with excitement about learning again tomorrow. These skills have already shown up with my child; although she just started here, within a week we’ve noticed her vocabulary expanding, her understanding of different academic topics growing, and an increase in her confidence and curiosity.
We started our son at MAS this September and the experience has been truly wonderful. All of the staff are so kind and it is obvious that they genuinely care about every child in their care. I get brief updates every day about how he did and I am looking forward to parent teacher conferences in the new year to learn more.
I had a Tour scheduled on 10/16/25, with Yoli the director . she told me to bring my child, we waited 5 minutes for the director and 1 minute after I realized that school was not going to work for my child. Teachers were not into helping children with basic behaviors or being compassionate with each other .. there was this girl saying to my child.. “get out”.. and this other boy who was saying NO to my child and attempted to slap him but only brushed him with his fingertips, something that often happens because kids can’t always measure distance. The teachers saw what happened but didn’t say anything or use it as a teaching moment. It was sad to see that, and I knew right away this wasn’t the right place for us. Those few minutes waiting for Yoli actually helped me realize I was in the wrong daycare. When I finally went to her office..in that next minute I politely returned the folder she had given me, thanked her, and left.
A truly loving and supportive preschool. The teachers care so deeply and it shows — my daughter has blossomed here.
Very attentive and amazing Staff
