We are, and will forever remain, grateful to have found MAB for our daughter, Aarya, who spent four wonderful years at the school—from her Pre-K days through Kindergarten. After some less-than-positive experiences at other Montessori schools in the Ashburn area, MAB truly made a meaningful and lasting impact on our daughter’s life. MAB focuses on independent learning and helps children grow into responsible individuals in a positive, fun-loving, and nurturing environment. We had a wonderful experience with all of the teachers, who genuinely care for the children and serve as true role models by demonstrating politeness, kindness, respect, and gratitude every day. Our daughter spent most of her time with Ms. Jill, Ms. Epstein, and Ms. Sara, and she absolutely adores them. Her summer camp teachers were Ms. Marsh, Ms. Parker who are amazing. Ms. Diane at front office is always ready to help. Thank you, MAB! Aarya’s early childhood journey would not have been the same without you.

This small but mighty school is a gift to the world! It becomes a home away from home for the children who go there to learn and to grow. Children have mixed age classrooms spanning three different years so the eldest can teach the younger students and on down. The children learn practical life skills like how to pour water, clean after themselves, and plan their workday. One of the most special learning experiences at the school is celebrating international peace day where they come together and sing about peace in sign language. There are special birthday celebrations that are hard to describe, but speak to the individuality of each student, helping them feel unique and special. In first through third grade, the children learn what's called the great lessons about the history of the Earth, the history of man, and the history of language. The teachers there are professional, patient, kind, and caring. They provide scaffolding for the children to learn lessons at a developmentally appropriate age. They have a great amount of time outdoors in the woods that is by the school and on the playground. This allows the children to learn how to solve their own social problems, connect with nature, and use their imagination in ways that are expansive. In the spring, my youngest daughter graduated from MAB. We spent seven wonderful years sending both of our children here. It feels like a huge loss to say goodbye to this one-of-a-kind school. Thank you to everyone at MAB from the administration to my children's teachers, especially Mr. Smith, Mrs. Keefer, Ms. Alto, Mrs. J. Theriot, Mrs. Black, Ms. Epstein, Ms. Shepherd, and Mrs. Tubic.

We feel incredibly fortunate that a neighbor recommended MAB to us back in 2013. We had looked at countless preschools for our son, and none felt right. I spent one hour at MAB and knew immediately that the search was over. We have now sent both of our kids through the Primary program and couldn't be happier with our experience. Watching our children thrive at MAB has been a true joy. The teachers are exceptional, the environment warm and welcoming, and the Montessori method the perfect foundation. We've been so impressed by their growth, not just academically but socially, emotionally, and even more importantly, in their moral development. The world needs more kindness, and MAB is actively fostering it.

Our children (now 5.5 and 2.5 years old) attended this Montessori school over the past few years, and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The school offers a thoughtful, calm, and supportive environment that genuinely respects each child's unique pace and personality. The teachers are consistently kind, attentive, and deeply grounded in the Montessori method. We appreciated how they nurtured independence and curiosity in a gentle yet structured way. Of our two children, one is full of energy and extroversion, while the other is quieter and more observant. Their teachers recognized and respected these differences, thoughtfully adapting to each child’s strengths and areas for growth. During their time here, our children developed strong social skills, a love of learning, and a real sense of responsibility—foundational qualities that continue to serve them well as they transition into elementary school. As parents, we always felt confident that our children were in a safe and nurturing space. Communication with the staff was open and helpful, and we truly felt like partners in our children’s growth. If we were not moving, we would have happily kept our children with MAB for as long as they let us. :) Thank you again!

While we were sad to say goodbye, we know that MAB gave them the tools, confidence, and love for learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
