Best playground around hands down..recently renovated with some of the coolest structures and equipment. The entire family enjoys this playground. And there are picnic tables if you want to stay a while, Plenty of shade, track to run of u choose, and plenty of parking.
I went on two separate field trips at CADES my eight grade year. If I had to sum up my experiences with this organization, I would say it was genuinely wonderful. My first trip to CADES I spent several hours in a classroom with other teens in my age range. While there I met many splendid young men and women and shared more laughs and smiles than I can count. After how great my previous experience was, I'm sure you can guess just how ecstatic I was when I learned my class was invited to attend and help out at CADES' field day. During the field day, I spent most of my time at the lower gym playing soccer and basketball with the kids, mainly soccer. I had so much fun just watching the smaller kids having fun. To be honest, after my trips to CADES, I feel a certain conviction to volunteer work that just wasn't present before. Thanks to the inhabitants, and wonderful faculty at CADES, my life has been given a new perspective. Now, as a freshman in high school, I plan to explore different ways to volunteer, and to check out my school's mission and ministry club in the future. CADES is a wonderful organization and I wish every student, inhabitant, and volunteer the best going forwards.
This places is great for all kids of differing abilities. My kids absolutely love coming here! There are two parts the swings and toy vehicles in front then the bigger exciting playground in the back accessible via the parking lot. There's also a gravel track to walk or run
The playground here is a favorite of my children. Open to the public after 3 PM and on weekends, it's got a large climbing/sliding structure, plenty of swings, a basketball hoop, some gymnastics equipment, padded grounding and handicap-accessible equipment as well. There is a huge field and running track for kids who want to run or play football, soccer or just fly kites. You can also rent the pavilion next to the playground for birthday parties. I think it costs around $75 to reserve it and the playground is still open to everyone, but it's a GREAT location for a low price.
Great program for both handicapped children and adults. They've been around for like 30 years and have excellent managerial staff and a handful of direct care workers that are highly dedicated to the program and their clients.
