I don’t know how this place is now, but I went to the camp a long time ago for close to 7 months. It was chaos. It was traumatic. Troubled kids all in one place in the middle of nowhere. I missed a ton of foundational growth both educationally and socially. If it is even a fraction like it was when I went through their program then you should not walk but run away from this place.
So far this school has been great educating my 5 year old. His teachers are great and everyone I've been in contact with have been extremely helpful and understanding. Very nice teachers and principal.
Awesome school! My son was super shy and had trouble making friends before attending this school. He is in Pre-K 4 with amazing teacher Ms. Garcia and classmates who have helped him break out of his shell. He is outgoing and such great discipline.
I was also apart of the 1980s version of the school it was actually a camp. One part was for girls in Palestine Texas and the boys camp, I have no idea where that was. It was a long term stay camp. I guess I was there more difficult ones and stayed for two years. We had monthly home visits I believe for just three days. But once you got to Aquilas you went home every weekend and attend the local schools. That was 43 years ago.
Very nice I love dropping my grandson in the morning the principal is always there opening the door and greeting the children with a great smile and calling them by their name wow that's awesome. To me that says so much about him.
